I was thinking of the same idea of wiring radio power supply to some kind of switch if you find something that works let me know.

My d3 also blacks out on start up but not all the time mostly in a.m. When it does the lights on the d3 come on for 2 seconds and then the screen is black but will come on if i restart. Unit is in a 05 silverado diesel. Is it possible to I need to wire the power in different.
