  1. Ok I will try to be as clear as possible and I just want to know if anyone else has encountered this. I am using the sub out on my F90bt to drive some powerful aftermarket subs. I listen to a lot of music but mostly classic rock - on my previous setup (avic N2) I do not think the sub out had a factory crossover point built in. Here is why I pose the question. I feel like I need a little higher crossover point. - I thump now but mainly the kick drum on the previous setup I think I ran closer to 200hz or maybe a tad higher as I like the bass guitar to come thru... I am going to split the rear output into my crossover and try that . Has anyone else had a similar thought or issue?

I can lift the rear wheels off the ground with Yeah by Usher but the bass guitar is gone from Rush and Van Halen etc thanks Eddy

  2. I there, people!

I'm a newbie here and I'm getting my US version of the F700BT tomorrow! I'll be installing it in the weekend! :D

Please answer me the following question:

    • we need to have the SD card with these files every time we turn on the ignition?

    Thanks!

No I just did my first "hack" added mute to nav menu - once you overwrite the data on the flash drive built into the unit its done... at least in a F90BT

  3. Installed yesterday Pac Swi-ps and GMOS-04 are a huge help. both units work perfectly. I have not finished as I have not hooked up my subs or backup camera. Ran out of daylight and I have a long drive today. Only issue was no sound out of XM ran in here did a search and realized I had the cable in the wrong slot on the unit.......

  4. While I don't have Bose (don't think it matters), to keep the Onstar mute intact all you do is add a wire to the now-vacant spot in the terminal and connect it accordingly. I think I have a thread here somewhere with more hard, specific info on it.

Perfect that was the info I needed!

  5. This is interesting on the VSS. I too am wiring up my GMOS-04 before my install this weekend. Does this also work on vehicles which did not come with factory nav? I wasn't planning on connecting the VSS wire as I figured it would be useless, but I might have to do that. Thanks.

On my avic N2 it made a huge difference!

  6. I understand the instruction on doing the bypass however with the bose system and onstar in my 2008 GMC Dually the GMOS-LAN-02 instruction has you hook the Brown wire from the 14 pin harness to the mute wire on the D3 harness. It also instructs to attach the green wire of the 14 pin GMOS to the parking brake wire of the D3 harness. If I do it this way then obviously I will not be able to do the bypass. I could add another wire to the empty pin location that the mute wire would go into and ground it, but without the green parking brake wire being grounded it would not work I think????? SO HELP. if anyone has bypassed a CHEV/GMC WITH ONSTAR AND BOSE PLEASE FILL ME IN.

I am here right now what did you end up doing with the Brown and Green wire from Gmos?

  7. I have the F90bt, a GMOS-04 and a pac sw-ps...... I have all the wiring here on my desk and I am soldering all the connections. Using the GMOS it looks like it will pull most everything out of the exiting harness. I know I have to find the wire in the steering column for the pac unit and the reverse wire...

will I need to find the VSS wire? there is one out of the GMOS

This is for an 04 Escalade with Nav already.,, I just can't get used to not digging for more wires... I did the hardware override that was a breeze. Thanks Eddy

  8. Its all good - I did a search but it was fruitless. Doing the install this week waiting on the XM module! I have several pages printed on where to find certain wires and how to bypass it. This is my second Avic and this site has been a huge help. After I get it installed then I will look into tweaking some mods.

  9. I have the PAC audio one in my 2008. I have onstar and steering controls had to use two diff converters together to get them all to work.

    .

I have on 04 Escalade and I have ordered the PAC SWI-PS and I am about to get the GMOS-04 (I want to keep onstar and bose amps) I have the trim kit to install the F90BT what else might I need? When I dive into this I do not want to get stuck and have to order more adapters or parts.

    Thanks Eddy

  10. well at least I know that I am not missing any tricks. I did take a hint from a thread in here and made several genres. Rock A, Rock B, Rock C etc etc that way I can move to a genre then change to artist and once on the artist I can change to album if I want. That has been a big help moving thru my 5k of songs.
