i have it hooked up to the constant 12v and ground that is powering the head unit and if i test with a meter it all checks out ok. should i try reseting the head unit. if i do that what will i lose?

i have removed and installed this thing three times. Pwr and GND are good. i have tried different p-bus cables. i have swapped interface boxes. the guys at car toys said the head unit might just be bad.

i have hooked up i pod interface cd-ib100ii to my 03/06 production z1 and i get NOTHING. No charge, no sound, no pioneer display on ipod and i pod can not be selected in the source screen. at first i thought it was the interface box so i returned it, installed a second interface box and still nothing. all my connections are there and properly placed. i have a 60GB video i-pod with software version 1.1.1. I installed an A/V cable so i have something but i would love to use the interface. please help. thanks.
