1. Z - Have the same exact "noise" your talking about and it's annoying but I'm sort of used to it by now. Let us know what they say about it.
2. Hey all, Another code, $20.00 off over $200.00: pu3kr-uxg3c-si2es Thanks!
3. What exactly are you trying to sell? You have already gave away the info, I just don't see the point

TV Tuner?

Didn't think so, thanks for the confirmation!

TV Tuner?

Is the AVIC-D3 directly compatible with the Pioneer TV Tuner (5700)? Anyone know, thanks!

AVIC-D3 ETA?

Tundraelectronics is very shady. Ordered from them before and they were a hassle, wouldn't even provide a tracking number. Wanted to return something a week after receiving it, "sure, 20% restocking fee!" The guys that run this website out of their shack are very unprofessional. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! They will not support you after the sale if you have a problem. I have ordered from ABT and Crutchfield and as we all know there great and AUTHORIZED. Just my .02
7. Go to ABT in Glenview, they do great custom work!
8. How many miles are on this Z1? If this is a new Z1 (not many miles on it) I would imagine that the unit wouldn't be bypassed any more once it learns about it's motion. It should start locking you out of stuff after you are moving. That doesn't make too much sense. I would think that your connector 2 wire has wiggled out or is not making good grounding contact. Plenty of miles, about 4,000 and this is the first time it happened. No it sure doesn't make sense...I'll check the wires but you'd think it would or wouldn't lock out. The warning pops up but never locks...This isn't th
9. Agreed, keep this thread to the topic. Take the drama to off topic. Ducati - Did the reset twice and after about 2 minutes the warning came up again both times. My unit however is always bypassed and is never locked. After an hour of driving this morning still bypassed but still received the warning...
10. Try pressing the recessed reset button to the right of the eject button. That will get rid of the parking brake message unless the second wire in connector 2 stopped being grounded, then it will come back. Didn't even think about it for some reason but it worked, no more warning message. Must have been a fluke with this freezing cold weather. Thanks Ducati as always.
11. I already did the update (see previous) and something strange happened today. Now mind you it's 14 degrees here in Chicago and don't know if that would make the unit act strange.... I started the car and low and behold the "Warning! parking brake blah blah" came up after the boot up! Again, I have an 7/06 unit bypassed via wires not circuit and I've never even seen this warning before. I checked the Hardware menu and connections and it stated the parking brake was ON, hmmm. So I'm driving checking the POI menu, phone menu, DVD playback and everythings still working as bypassed. I figured
12. Hey all, I downloaded the file last night, unzipped it and burned it using Nero. I have a 7/06 unit bypassed with the mute wire etc and not the circuit. Installed the disk and it said cd-rom inserted until I went to the map screen and then it started updating, rebooted and updated and then pretty much done. Didn't take long at all. Now the test: I put the Z1 phone volume all the way up except for the last two bars. I currently have the microphone on the drivers side visor for now. I had the volume coming out only on the drivers side and called my wife at home on her landline. No echo
13.

Try using an anti-static cloth for cleaning eyeglass lenses.
Best answer, and not asinine like some of the other ones. You can purchase them at most electronic stores or a photographic store, and they do work pretty good. If dust builds up too much, you can use on of those car Swifter things, then wipe down with the anti-static cloth. (Really a shame, when someone asks a legitimate question and most of the replies are asinine. I have a Vette, Jeep and a Hummer, and I drive with the air off 90 percent of the time. Does not mean I can
14.
CHemi, was that announced on the Pioneer website? If so, can you provide a link? Any other fixes in this upgrade?
Hi dfb, no it was not on the website, it was from tech support via phone. Other fixes were mentioned but not in detail.
15. Heard it from Pioneer directly and it will be a software update.
