I have a Nex 8000 fw 1.15 with a Samsung S8+ with no probs. Does your 7 have the latest fw? I realize they are diff phones, but the common dom is the unit and fw..np probs here.

I have a 2013 Toyota Highlander, brand new Pioneer AVIC-8201 NEX. using a Maestro RR as integration harness. sometimes when I remote start my car, and I get into my car, the radio has a black screen. basically it is not on, and nothing functions. Pioneer had claimed it was defective, got a brand new one and it did the same thing on the second day!!! leads me to believe that it cannot be the radio.
I have a theory on what may be wrong, when remote start activates, the ignition comes on, radio starts boot up, then ACC wiring drops out as car is cranking, radio has to reboot again, I think this causes the radio to not boot up properly. what do you think about this? anyone experience a similiar problem?
I have remote start on my RSX, when the remote is used the car starts as it should and my Nex 8000 screen is black as it should...the heat controls and parking lights are the only thing working till the key is inserted and engaged.

Hi, I just discover this site today while googling for an answer to why the subwoofer on/off setting disappeared from my head unit.
Hopefully someone in here could help me. Not sure when the subwoofer on/off setting disappeared as I have not needed to make any adjustments lately. Obviously with the subwoofer off and no setting to turn it back on I cannot adjust anything related to the sub. I know there was an on/off setting at one point I am just not sure how to get it back.

I do have one USB input on the back of the deck. However, I don't believe I have an option to select the USB as a source. If I could use an SSD drive as a source, that would be great!
Dont know what to say, Im looking at the manual on page 86 and it explains on/off for usb.

There are no tricks, if the unit has been installed properly, factory reset and still does not work correctly....return to seller for warranty or replacement.

I have a Nex 8000 with a 128gb ssd drive via usb, works perfectly.

Mine turns on fine, it will be quickest on radio. On usb it will check the index of the drive...still pretty quick. If your referring to the mirroring start up...yes it can take it's sweet ass time. You can change the delay in the app to find the best spot.
I dont have any steering wheel controls on my RSX, so I cant comment there,

I have the Screenbeam installed on my Nex 8000 to my Note 8 w/Novalauncher. I purcharsed ARunchained Rootless and i played with it a while which i did get it on screen, also touch screen but i have no idea how to set it up correctly or minor tweaks etc.
My screen isn't fully squared upto the Nex like a have a bar of "tools" on the left side which I cant seem to remove.
Double click the Home/center button quickly and it should disappear.

Thanks for the help. Obvioulsy, that is a common phrase that implies that I have tried everything that I could come up with. I am hoping that there is someone here that has seen this particular issue before and has tried something that I have not been able to come up with. (or someone here that is just much smarter than me..... i am okay with either). If you do not have anything to add to a potential soultion, just move on and ignore my question. It is always better to keep your thoughts to yourself and to be thought a fool than to share them and remove all doubt. Keep that in mind in the future.
LOL...there are no magic things to do, if the unit was installed by a professional and you have reset the unit and it still exhibits the same problems...then it needs to be repaired.
PS, I dont care what you think of me as...from what I see Im the only one responding to your questions.
You've stated there have been problems since the install..take it back and have them go over it again.
Where did you buy the unit...a legit shop? Surely they will warranty the HU...considering it had probs from the beginning.

I have the Nex 8000, with S4/S6edge in the past and now an S8+ and Sirrus and a 128gb ssd....its been bulletproof couldnt be happier.
