Did you pay for the maps of Argentina?

In my truck... the TA was way off, so was the phase of the sub. While I loved what MCACC did for my HT, there are too many boundaries and speaker directions in my truck for this thing to succeed. Maybe better than nothing, but I got much better results using a tape measure (for the TA) and my ears.

Tape measure worked great for my RSX till I get my Helix Dsp installed.

Not sure what your 4 words refer to, Any time I have factory reset my Nex 8000 my paid Nav maps have been retained.

Usb, Sd and SSD and Sata, have all worked problem free on my 8000....on every fw.

Did you give the HU a few mins, many times my 128gb ssd will say that and in a few mins be working fine.

Hi Today I had a shop install an avic-8000 into a 04 Saturn vue along with a back up camera, Sirius, hdmi, ect. When the installation was done I got into my car to test out the stereo, everything was working perfectly even the back up camera was working great. I then drove about 5 miles to the bank while listening to tunes. When I left the bank everything was working fine for about 2 miles then then screen started to flicker and then black screen :/ the touch screen still works, I insert DVDs and it plays, I even connected my phone and it would go into car play. I got home to trouble shoot it and I turned it off and turn it back on, the start up screen appears and then pioneer logo appears and then display appears about a second and then turns black when the buttons light up :/ i repeated that process so many times and even press the little to reset and same thing happeneds every time, i have no idea what it could ? Any input I would really appreciate it!!!! thanks

 

I'm currently traveling in the same car because I have to get to a family bbq tomorrow, I have to drive below speed limit now or else it'll tell me to slow down loudly, I tried to turn it down but no luck

Yes, its labeled Nex 5000.....sooo on the sd card or usb stick you will have 1 folder ..labeled Nex 5000

 

Extract the rar file, copy or cut paste the folder within the extracted folder...it will be labeled Nex 5000. Put the folder labeled Nex 5000 on the usb or sd card. Then update.

You'll be fine, the unit is off unless the key is turned on to start  or in acc.

You mean parked as in idling....I assume your alt supply's the required amps  for stable power to the 2 amplifiers? Should be no problem.

Is the Subwoofer toggled ON in settings?

Is the Subwoofer Gain  turned UP in the Speaker level settings? Bottom right in the picture ( mine is at 0)

Are you listening or playing music that has bass to hear Hard bass?

You do need root, but hey, rooting your phone allows for awesome ROMs as well! Lol

 

Definitely try this first, if you can as you'll save money. However, if it's anything like the s6 edge's behavior, you may find yourself running for the hills

No probs with my S6 Edge. Works great as it should.

I think some people put a switch between the HU and the power connect for that reason.

First thing I would have done is factory reset. Its free and simple.

Factory Reset then see how it performs........sounds like the unit is defective, call Pioneer and get that warranty claim moving.

At least once a month I have to re-activate my SiriusXM on my AVIC-8000NEX. Is this a software bug or a hardware problem? 

Ive had my sub with sirrus/xm for a yr, activate at start and problem free since.

Not sure I follow what your asking. If your refering to the navigation location, my nex8000 shows the exact position as far as within the limitation of the GPS ant.

I've had no luck connecting to my ODBII reader.

adjust the volume in whatever source your in and you should see the other source tab pop up...select it and you should have what you want

So a community forum where people share and you want to be paid.

Anyone aware if another format is supported?

 

The home screen obviously is using video or gif or something as there is motion, so I assume another format is supported for at least the home screen???

what you could do is save a number of pics in all the formats your curious about and try them out...just an idea
