Spoke with pioneer they think it's a bad gyro sensor or something, in the settings I saw that the unit wasn't "learning" as to turns speed and distance, sent it back got it done and it's perfect now,

Yea that's same as mine still haven't had the time to even speak to pioneer.... It's usually on the highway it loses me not necessarily going slow.... Wtf....

Got a pop up today that the receiver has occurred an error contact pioneer, guess I have no choice now...

Ive reset it and nothing, once i go over 45 or 50 mph it loses me and this is trying to get my pregnant fiance to and from doctor apts and a new hospital. Guess im gonna have to talk to pioneer which is what ive been trying to avoid.. we all know how that goes.... send in unit wait forever... since i still can't update maps

Ok so took a ride today, every time the icon shifted off of my road i checked the satellites, never had less then 9...so i just don't understand why with that many sats that it cant keep me on my route without a Dozen rerouting alerts!!

And by losing me I mean driving down the highway or any road for that matter and constantly showing the icon on the wrong road and adjusting my directions. For being on that false road.

I'll check sat numbers when I get in truck, but it's def not mounted on metal, my truck came with sync and that thing never lost me, I'll move it to the roof and see if that helps. Is maestro rr a Must? Wondering if it's a bad headunit.. Ipod doesn't always load up when trick is shut off then turned back on while using the ipod.... And laggy when switching songs...and still can't update my maps

Moved it to the windshield and still loses me on my daily commute, quite irritating...

On the highway I drive daily and the side streets to say my pregnant fiancé doctor the icon shifts all over the place except for the actual road I am on, sometimes it can not be where I am for 15 minutes... Quite ridiculous esp since I travel for work and usually to new places where the navigation comes in real handy, I'm thinking I just need to relocate the gps module from inside the dsh to some place exposed near the windshield.

Firmware is up to date the maps i havent checked. Did the FW myself as it came with 1.03 or 1.3 on it when purchased

My truck knows the direction ie NW or SE. But my pioneer loses me constantly, is it a map update needed or is it just a bad unit? I dont know what the deal is.
