  1. It did not charge but the audio and control worked perfectly. I did not try video though!
  2. Do you have the Nav DVD in the disc slot by any chance? Do you have a burned map disc? Some programs don't burn the discs correctly and you end up with this issue (at least with the D2).
  3. You might get more help if you use a larger font! But nah, can't really help you other than to tell you to check your connections. I did have an issue with an eBay bought 2010 map DVD that bricked my touch screen on my D2 about a month ago. As soon as it updated, my touch screen went out completely it I was not able to calibrate it, even after downgrading back to the old maps. Had to replace the D2. Got a D3 now! But good luck!
  4. Yeah, I honestly wasn't expecting it to charge the ipad, but I thought it might play music and movies. But it was advertised to work with the iPad. I don't really care anyway, since I didn't buy the cable to use with the iPad anyway!
  5. OK, so I got the new cable from the seller and he was right. Must have been the wrong cable. The new cable does NOT charge the iPad like advertised, but it does charge my iphone 4 which is all I cared about. It even charges my 2nd gen iPod. So I'm happy!
  6. I just recently got a D3 due to the touch screen on my D2 taking a dump. In an attempt to not have to use a Schoshce charge adapter, I got a 5V cable from eBay since it said it charges the new gen iPhones and iPads. Well, my iPhone 4 is not charging. I read the sticky about eBay cables but it seemed only geared towards audio not working properly with eBay cables. My audio is working perfectly with the cable. And I knew it wasn't an authentic Pioneer cable since they don't make a 5V cable. But is the cable most likely the cause even though it says it charges new iPods/iPhones? And yes, I
  7. So what's the point of this NZB file? I downloaded it, what do I do with it? Sorry, been away for months!
  8. Hmm! I can't find this anywhere and it's pissing me off. I am using the 2007 disc with the D2 and I never changed ipod firmware. Anone know anything about this?
  9. Ever since I got my 80GB video, the ipod will just reset if I try to scroll quickly through my artists or albums. I have to select one, wait a few seconds, then scroll to the next. If I go too fast, the ipod will just shut down and restart as if I turned hold on/off and held menu and select. This didn't happen with my last gen picture ipod. I could scroll through that thing as fast as the D2 could and didn't have this problem. Anyone know why this happens?
  10. hence what I said "But you do use a resistor to lower voltage (or you can, because it resists the current which inturn lowers the voltage) " I was't saying that voltage and current are the same thing. I was saying that if you resistance current, voltage drops and vice versa. I am ASE certified in Auto Electrical (as well as brakes and suspension), so I know the laws and equations. Only one "Main" law... Ohms Law.. I fkn hate that circular chart. We used a triangular one in school! The text book used circles though. But it helps you remember the math.

  12. doesn't the resistor limit current not voltage? Same shit.
  13. Move the wire the the open slot in the far upper corner and ground it along with the parking brake wire.
  14. I think his point is to watch movies and view the map atthe same time which I don't think you can do with the "regular" bypass.
  15. The sub is non-fading. Meaning if you fade to either the front or back interior speakers, the sub will still play. You will have to actually turn the subwoofer output off from the sub menu in order for it to not play while fading.
