  1. For a long time, I've used an iPod Classic modded with SD cards for 512 gb of memory. Recently with my other car, I discovered iPod Classics are no longer supported, and since neither is iTunes, I thought about modernizing. I used Media Monkey to build a library on a 512 gb flash drive. It works in that car. Decided to do the same for my vehicle that has the AVIC7200NEX. I've now tried loading the library 5 times, but every time it freezes at 60% formatted and i can't select songs or artists when that happens. The drive is a 512 formatted in NTFS. Has anyone gotten a flash drive to work?
  2. Hey, does anybody know if this issue was fixed with the newer 4201 series? I need to replace my current Kenwood unit, and while I love the sound, I hate that I can't use Android Auto and the iPod at the same time. If the static doesn't happen with the 4201 I might consider it.
  3. Well, I solved the static issue with my Classic 160 while listening on my AVH4100. How? I finally got rid of the Pioneer and put in a Kenwood DDX9902S. It doesn't have quite the same functionality; I can't, for instance, have Android Auto and the iPod going at the same time, but given that every time I tried that with the AVH4100 I wanted to put a hole in the screen with my fist, it's probably a wash. As a bonus, I think the Kenwood sound is actually better. Pioneer screwed up. There is no reason that you can't have an iPod Classic run without the static issue. They just don't want to admi
  4. Anybody who have an 8100, have you had any issues with static during iPod playback?
  5. Just an update to this. Evidently it's a known Pioneer issue. I wonder if the 8100 has it as well?
  6. I've been going back again and again to Car Toys trying to figure out what has been causing this same issue for me. I have an iPod 160. I never had this problem with my Z130BT or with my factory stereo. Their tech finally called Pioneer Tech Support and they say it is a known issue and is caused by the 30 pin adapter, and I need to get a newer iPod. What the hell? That's just ridiculous. Way to screw up again Pioneer.
  7. I'm having a problem where I get periodic intermittent bursts of static when playing my iPod in my AVH4100. I'm about at the end of my rope since the iPod us my primary source. We have tried using a different USB into the HU, different USB from the iPod to the USB back that is wired to the HU and it doesn't fix it. I don't think it's the iPod itself because I can play it for hours on different computers with no static. Also, I never had that problem with the factory HU. It's ski not the HU itself because we swapped out out. Any ideas? I'm.working if it could be the Sirius antenna somehow, our
  8. I broke the touchscreen on my Z130. I just ordered a replacement part from Pioneer. Does anyone have instructions on how to connect the new one?
