  1. damn that shit is wack i wanted the xtreme mac roadshow
  2. Are the wires red and black for the 12V source.. are you referring to the 6th generation ipod 'classics", why? This cable is going from the ipod connector to the RCA inputs on the D1 and i think wouldn't have the problems that the unit has connecting thru the av bus, what do you think???
  3. BTW i already have the bypass.... I found this adapter that is almost perfect except for the power from the cigarette lighter, anybody know how to take that apart and wire it directly to my car. http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/review ... with-video
  4. I have a Avic D1 and want to play my music and video. Is there an adapter that will let me do this...
  5. i dont have to tell anyone about the turtle like interface of the d1 with the ipod connector but i have been having an unusual problem, when i get in my car and turn it on about half the time the damn d1 will start my music from the begging of the ipod and i will have to sit there and scroll one by one thru 15 gigs of music to find what i was listening to. this is getting annoying can anyone tell me if there is a fix for this. thanks...

    d1 vs d3

hi everyone. does anyone know if the d3 will have advanced ipod controls unlike the crappy and horribly slow d1. the reason i bought the d1 was so i wouldnt have to have all my cd in the car and i used and old 40gb ipod i had lying around and boy i cant tell you how dissapointed i was to find out about the interface. i would appreciate the info and i know this isnt the right section but do the any of the z models have the advanced interface.
  7. Does anyone know how to mute the unit when i am playing a song thru the ipod. i have a mute button when i am playing a cd but have not been able to find one when palying music thru the ip bus and ipod controller. thanks.
  8. hi i just got my d1 installed on my 1997 expedition and got the ipod adapter all hooked up and running, apparantly it was just a pair of bad fuses because i bought new ones threw one in and everyhting works fine. the only down side is that i have nearly 15 gigs of music on my ipod with hundreds of albums and getting the middle like the albums that starts with the letter R is task and takes forever. does anyone know if the new generation ipod adapter solves this issue or maybe a software update will do it, any input would be highly appreciated.

    Avic D1

hi guys, does anyone know were is the best place to get the new firmware for a d1 and were to get the new navi discs.
  11. hi, i have a d1 which i bought about six months ago and i got an ipod adapter from ebay that was a refurbished model. i just got arount to installing the damn thing brcause my truck was parked for a while. so i go to install the unit and everything is great until i tried to power up the ipod adpater. i ran the 12v constant and the ground right from the same wires as the head unit and tried to hook up the ipod unit but it just keeps blowing the 2amo fuses it came with and i have used about 4 more i got from the auto parts store and same result. does anyone know if i could use a larger amp fuse
  12. hello does anyone have a set of 8 screws that mount the unit to the bracket. i lost mine and i would be willing to pay for the set or if anyone knows were i can buy a set i would appreciate it. thanks.
