Q1: Is the "update" on the pioneer site a "motion bypass" or not? I have read conflicting reports. Q2: Does it matter what date the Z2 was made ? What I mean by that is. Are the older Z2 models required to do the 2 wire by pass method ONLY or can the older models do the bypass via the pioneer software update { If indeed the software update is a bypass} Which is why I am asking Q1 to confirm.

As the title states, has anyone had bad experiences with buying a refurbished unit on eBay? I am looking to buy one as a Christmas present & don't want to get screwed. Also have been reading some reviews with returns. Have experience with a unit going bad within a year for whatever reason?

Best buy states I can not mount the Z2 series in this vehicle. Wondering if anyone has a modification that would allow me to install it? thank you in advance
