Thanks for the info, I contacted the dealership and there is a wire that is located at the radio wire harness in all the new models and hooked it up and it works great, know i have to figure out why the screen does not dim done, other than that it works great. Thanks.

I am installing a AVIC-Z2 in my 2008 Ford Taurus and the instruction manual says to connect the pink wire to the CAR SPEED SIGNAL INPUT, is that the VSS wire? I have a Ford wire schematic and I can not find the VSS wire. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Doug

I am getting ready to purchase a Z2 unit and install it in a 2008 Taurus, and just want to make sure that ALL features can be bypassed to use while driving, especially Nav and DVD system so the passenger can use. I also have a 2007 Freestyle with a factory installed Nav system and it is worthless while driving and i do not want to purchase another unit that is worthless. I have been on the site for 3 hours and I just want to verify what has to be done.
