  1. The installer did not give me the box the D3 came in. The put all the manuals, etc. in the box the Bluetooth module came in and gave that to me. I assume that was because the Bluetooth module box was smaller. Chris
  2. I want to register my D3 with Pioneer on their web site and they are asking for the serial number for my unit. I had it installed by a local installer and they did not give this to me. Is there any way to find the serial number through one of the screens on the D3 or do I have to have the installer pull apart the dash to get it? Is it worth it to register my unit with Pioneer? I figure if any updates happen, then I will get notified. Chris
  3. My point exactly. I went from having a $150 Inno in my car to having the $1,000 D3 and I have LOST features. Doesn't anyone else find that unacceptable?
  4. No setting that I can find. The trouble really isn't with scrolling. The trouble is that the whole artist or song title isn't being retrieved. There have been a few song titles that I noticed were missing one character at the end even though there is plenty of room to display that one character. My Inno seems to make another attempt to retrieve the longer artist/song title after the short one is retrieved. Not sure how the Inno does it, just my observation. Chris
  5. I've had my D3 installed less than a week and I LOVE it. The iPod connector and Bluetooth rule. I just have one severe annoyance with the XM module. As the subject mentions, if the Artist and/or Song Title are "too long", they are being cut off, even though there appears to be plenty of room to display the remaining characters. I have a $150 PIONEER Inno that handles this better than my $1,000 D3. It appears that initially, the Inno gets the "cut off" Artist and Song Title information. Then, a couple of seconds later it receives the full information. It even scrolls it a couple of
  6. I got a AVIC-D3 and CD-BTB200 Bluetooth option installed on Saturday in my 2008 Honda CR-V EX. I have a Verizon xv6700 that I use with it. When I picked up the car after the installation was complete, I could not pair the XV6700 with the system. The salesperson could pair his phone just fine, so I let it be. I saw it working with another phone, so I figured some playing was in order. My wife and I kept playing and finally got it to pair. Once paired, I registered the phone so I could direct connect later if I had to. I can't tell you what I did exactly to get the phone paired. It ju
  7. Six disc changers are nice, but I have an iPod with all of my CDs on it. No need for a CD player at all. This is why the issue with keeping the DVD in the D3 to do navigation is fine with me. I will not use it for anything else anyway. Thanks for the posts guys! Chris
  8. I am trying to decide whether to buy a 2008 Honda CR-V EX. One of the factors is whether I can replace the factory stereo with a Pioneer AVIC-D3. Has anyone done this or know of anyone that has done this? I am also concerned that the steering wheel channel and volume controls will work after the stereo is replaced. Just in case anyone was wondering...yes, I did think about purchasing a CR-V EX-L with factory installed Nav and XM. The only problem is that this higher end model costs about $5,000 more than the EX in my market. The $5,000 covers a lot of extras that I don't even want. S
