  1. oh yea...i didnt tap the reverse wires....no camera.... although i do wanna get one to put up front...think that would look cool driving the Dragon (but not in reverse.... )
  2. 1) Pull up the carpet on the passenger side (pop up two plastic, grey, round holders) and Ive found it easier to pop out the plastic guard on the bottom of the door rail (where the carpet meets the bottom of the door frame) 2) you will see a large metal plate (~1.5 sq ft) with 3 bolts and 1 nut (located higher up towards the front), take those out 3) the wire you will want to tap is clearly illustrated here http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=wrx and is what i used to tap my 07 LTD WRX. It was weird at first it was reading 2x my actual speed then "learned" the correct c
  3. fixed it!!! re routed grounds so i had a few different chassis locations, and pulled power off the ACC wire instead of the Battery wire for my Sirius...those seem to have worked like a charm
  4. Ive posted a few times and gotten some great help!! finally got my unit wired up well and just wanna share the knowledge if anyone is havin problems installing in an 07 WRX. Things that seem to have worked well so far: Bypass VSS found under passenger seat (great picture on here!) Sirius Radio Just wanna give a little back
  5. 2007 Subaru WRX That was my thought too...unless the AVIC input harness came with them backwards then I'm not so sure they are switched. I put a light tester to the ACC lead going into the D3 and it is alive when ignition is in ACC. I am wondering what is the correct location for the ACC and Battery wire in the D3 harness itself so I can double check and make sure it was assembled properly. Also, how does that explain the clock remaining on?? would the clock be feeding off the switched wire?? I know that probably doesnt make sense but im losing sanity Thanks for your help! and you
  6. I just installed my AVIC-D3 and it will not turn off when the key is turned to ACC off. I have checked and rechecked the wiring. I have unplugged the wireharness from the unit, placed a current/light meter on the ACC pin, and cycled the key from OFF to ACC and it is delivering the proper power relative to teh ignition switch. Could there be a problem in the unit itself or has anyone seen this before?? PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN! thanks!!
