  1. Go on crutchfield.com and enter your car details. After, search for the unit you have then go under details. There you'll find which xm adapter you'll need. I just recently got one for my 4100 - Best Buy had it for 50$ but I got them to price match Amazon + use a 10% off USPS Mover discount for a total of 37$. Also if your vehicle originally came with Xm from the factory you might be able to use the OE antenna.
  2. Warning screen when the unit first boots up? That's normal unfortunately... Bluetooth paring request? Are you using Android Auto? Or just trying to connect to the unit by Bluetooth only? Also what smartphone are you using?
  3. Everything was connected correctly and checked myself and by a couple other shops. As stated above, switching to the PAC RP5-GM31 fixed the issues(s) I was having. The overwhelming majority of installers in my area all said the same thing - Metra is junk. And after seeing how streamlined Pac's stuff is to install + the added SWC features they offer Metra doesn't I can't help but agree with them...
  4. Been using the 4100 (with Nexus 6) for about two week now and haven't noticed this. The way I understand it any streaming with Android Auto is done with Bluetooth. The USB is just used for data and charging. If you're using Google Music try messing with the settings - there's one for stream quality...
  5. Sammy devices are having issues with connecting to android auto. It's some "feature" Samsung added to their devices that isn't playing nicely with Android Auto. Look in the forums on Android Central - there's a bunch of people with this issue...
  6. Nexus 6 - stock rooted. I'm always jumping on the latest and greatest devices but with all the compatibility issues it looks like I'll be stuck with the Nexus for awhile...
  7. Yes - been about a week now with no issues.
  8. Was the Axxess AX-ADBOX2. Tried three of them and all had the same issue. Switched to the PAC RP5-GM31 and the issue is gone...

  10. First thing I did was the update. I got an appointment tomorrow with another installer - I'll update the post after they're done. It's probably something simple too lol
  11. So I had Best Buy install a Pioneer 4100 NEX last week in my 2013 Malibu LS (sh*ttly monochrome display, no factory amp). Had many, many issues with the install but the biggest is a popping sound from the left front speaker when starting the car. Noticed it sometimes happens when the factory chime comes on but its random. After seven return visits to a few different Best Buys around Las Vegas they couldn't figure it out. I got a refund for the install but that doesn't help with the issue. Found a shop that was willing to try and diagnose the problem for 80$ but offer no guarantees they can. So
