  1. Is your 8100nex "parking brake" wire connected to ground or to the car's parking brake wire?
  2. It won't detect your phone at all? or you see it boot and then crash? You might just try uninstalling auto and reinstalling it...maybe something got corrupt when you did the hard reset
  3. If its the first time connecting it to your phone, most of the setup output will be on the phone itself.....do you have android auto on your phone?
  4. Okay I got android auto to work......I opened up and looked at my wiring and realized that I actually did not ground my parking brake wire.... After I did it worked just fine with no warnings.....however it seems like I'm running into the issue that mostly everyone else is running into....I can't get voice controls to work at all.
  5. I'm using the AVIC-8100NEX. So I connected it to GND. But turned on the software bypass. However it still says that it needs the parking brake/car needs to be in park for it to setup. I think I'm just gonna try cutting the wire from the harness and splice/tap it to the parking brake wire this weekend. Just trying to avoid it if possible since i gotta pull all the armrest panels out and such.
  6. Keep trying with the AV off....if you're just a little bit off it won't pop up. It took me a few tries to get it to get the software bypass to work since my finger was just slightly off. Also make sure you're holding it for like 10 seconds.
  7. Quick answer is no.....from what I've read they've had that okay button for a few generations on their head units now....and no one has been able to get rid of it
  8. Does anyone know if you MUST have the parking brake wire from the headunit connected to the actual parking break? I keep getting the message on my AT&T Galaxy S4 that the car must be in park. Is there any way around this? I have my headunit connected to ground and software bypassed right now.
