I thought you needed to connect a phone via USB1 on these units. At least that's how I do it. Also, make sure that Android auto is set to turn on automatically in the settings.

Where did you install the mic? Mine is up about 8-10" from my face on the headliner. Supposedly the Garmin mic is better quality, but I haven't tested it. I am using the replacement Pioneer CD-VM1 and it seems to work pretty well. No one has complained on the other end of my calls so far.
