  1. I've been reading up as well. I've found a somewhat step-by-step disassemble for my Civic Coupe EX SE dash, but no pictures. I would be completely confident and jump on a self install it if I found a complete DIY on the dash disassemble. Right now as far as the dash goes, I'm 50/50. I just don't want to break any clips or latches that might be critical for hold in the dash. I am completely confident on the wiring though.
  2. Thanks, from what I believe, he is just charging for the work ($250) and not the miscellaneous stuff (adapters, harness). I already have all that along with the D3. I'll see if I can haggle and take it down in price.
  3. For you installers out there, what is the average rate/range for an indash installation? I went to one installer just blocks away from where I live and he stated $250. I am just trying to weigh my options. Thanks. Car: Civic Coupe 05 EX SE HU: AVIC-D3
  4. Yeah, your right, but from what I was understanding, say that the D3 isn't really flush with the edges, I would want black trim around it instead of the silver trim from the current double DIN HU. Am I correct on this? Sorry about the terminology if its wrong.
  5. That's what I thought, but I if its does not completely "fit" with the dash, I would need the trim from that Metra correct? That radio is the only silver in my car, so I don't think I'll be using the trim they had for the D3 install.
  6. Hey, I've been searching around the forums and I have a general idea of what I need, but I'm not sure if I need anything else. So far I have: AVIC-D3 (prepped for bypass) Scosche HA08B: Wiring Harness (Is this right? This harness has a female connector at one end and bare wire at the other. I've seen harnesses with male/female connectors, so I am confused if I did have the right one.) Extra wire splice connectors. I still need: Radio Kit: I was looking at the Metra 99-7865. (I've been looking at them on ebay, but some look like they are DIN with a pocket and not double
