  1. Burned the Pictures image with Nero and it worked. Sounds like all you have to do is make sure you don't burn background images using Windows.
  2. Latest update. Tried customer service again. This guy went straight to the question whether I was burning the image files using Windows. My answer was "Yes". He said this will only work if you are creating the disk image using a 3rd party software such as Roxio or Nero. Hopefully this will work. Not sure why using Windows does not achieve the same result.
  3. I tried everything the tech guy said and it still does not work. He was full of it. This is totally BS. I am am IT professional and still can't get this to work. Attached is a print screen of the file structure of the CD-R that I am using. I have also tried all CAPS, small caps, capital P etc as the directory name and it still comes back with the "Can't find /Pictures" when you try to import from this or any CD. My installer put one in his own car and he has done dozens of installs and can't get it to work on any of the installs. This is beginning to sound like a hardward problem. If ther

The filler data has to be in a PDF or Word document format (i.e. can't use sounds files etc). I had been using sound files as filler data so this might be my problem. - The Pictures directory is case sensitive with a capital P and lowercase the rest (seems odd that it matters) - Recommended JPG structure is 1440 * 680 but if it is different it should prevent you from uploading your file. I will see if it works later today.
  5. Guys I have been struggling with my Avic D3 to import a custom background. My installer can't even get this to work on his own D3 so it can't be just me. Basically the instructions tell you to create a Pictures directory on the root drive of your CD or DVD, place JPG files into that directory and to have a minimum size of data residing on the disk depending on wether it is a DVD or CD. Tried this 10 different ways on a CR-R and a CR-RW and every time the D3 tells me it can't find the Pictures directory. The Pictures directory clearly exists, JPG files are located within and I have tons o
