I'd like to start a petition for the next firmware update. Apparently we cannot zoom in or out in the Navigation screen. If we pinch in or expand, the screen will turn into an area snapshot screen with waypoint navigation marker and such. Also, I do not find value in the Smart Zoom feature. Also, the screen does not provide a distance scale. I could not find a petition but only a few complaints in the threads. Anyone with me or is there an actual petition somewhere? Thanks. Hi Guys; I have attempted the soft parking break bypass on the 8100NEX. The bypass worked fine until I have upgraded the firmware to 1.03 for Android Auto. I have re soft bypassed after the firmware upgrade and still received the error message. Anyone having the same issue?

Here's a test. Before you start your car; engage the "push start." Immediately, follow up by a standard push start procedure (foot on brake and push start). If the test works; the head unit should have immediately started. I was told that it may be more beneficial to use the 12v red wire from the ignition directly. Can someone validate?

I have a 2015 Forester XT with the keyless start. I am encountering the slow start up with the gt86 brethren w/ the keyless start with my AVIC 8100NEX. I was wondering if putting a bigger battery would help. I just noticed my car has a whimpy 330 CCA battery.
