  1. I got that deal as well, new, in original box, works perfectly. I also bought a whole array of additional items beyond harnesses from various vendors, like SiriusXM module, steering wheel integration, retain original backup camera and more. I'll be happy to share the complete list if you're interested.
  2. What car are you installing into? Harness and adapters needed vary greatly.
  3. Does anyone know why the Pandora icon is greyed out on my new 8100NEX, and what I can do to fix that? It used to work until recently, but since a few days I can't launch it anymore. Maybe it has something to do with a recent Pandora.app update?
  4. UPDATE: Just returned and learned that Maestro doesn't support nav output from the 8100NEX to the MFI (or MFD?) in my VW 2013 Passat (a Kenmore head unit would work though). I guess I have to live with that for now. The phone ID to MFI should work, but we only could get it show up when we connected the VW bluetooth module as well and paired my iPhone with both, strange indeed, but everything seems to be working, including phone info on the MFI. I am convinced there must be a better way to do this, but for now this is how it's set up.
  5. I just talked to the installer guy, he looked at the maestro website as we spoke and said that the phone info should work on the MFI but the nav info wouldn't for my 2013 VW Passat. I'll be there tomorrow to see what can be done about that.
  6. I thought so too, it should show that and other additional info. I have to check with the BestBuy guy who did the install. Thanks for the tip.
  7. I just replaced the stock RNS-510 in my 2013 Passat TDI SEL with the AVIC-8100NEX, and the Maestro MRR retains (almost) all original functionality. I was under the assumption that phone and navigation info should be displayed on the MFI (multi function instrument) as well, but I don't see it. Am I wrong with my assumption?
  8. Thanks for your suggestions. I am still concerned that some water may enter the physical button bar below, as another poster here has described – all his buttons stopped working first and then some changed functionality, while others still don't work. Not worth the risk for me.
  9. So based on the conversation here I ordered the Best Skins Ever, I thought it's a bit pricey for a piece of plastic, but when it arrived I was stumped – watching the installation videos showing a clean and flat kitchen table and I thought how on earth should I put this on an installed 8100NEX? With water dripping down on the AC controls and everything else below? Maybe I'm missing something, your suggestions are welcome.
