it seems the radio had to be reset, and the whole system cycled on/off a few times, and re-inserting the map disc a few times. works like a charm, and man, i would die without it.

thank you! where do you get your vehicle wiring info from? there are a few things i want to hook up, but cannot figure out where to connect the wires. and knowing the electrical system of my car is a good thing anyway

ok, so i switched vehicles my AVIC 80dvd was connected to. it is mated with a pioneer avh6600 HU. Now, the HU does not detect the Navigation is hooked into it. the HU and the AVIC unit powers up properly, i have the two connected to each other properly. the only thing i question is my VSS wire, but from what i understand, this will not affect the detection. any help or ideas?

I have been browsing around the internet looking for info for this elusive little wire, and everywhere i look it seems that there is a different answer to my question. so my question is, What color would my VSS wire be on my 02 ford ranger, and where would be a good place to look for it?its not 4x4, with a 3.0 v6 engine.
