  1. Sorry to hear your 8100 was defective. This evening I rewired the harness. This time I removed all of the Axxess junk. Now the head unit does not turn on/off when I open close a door or when I lock/unlock the doors. I am very anxious to install the PAC interface. Hopefully it works well!
  2. No problem. Let me know if they don't have an integration kit for you
  3. Call PAC directly and see what they have for you. They are very helpful. Hyundai and Kia likely have the same radio harnesses. You really need to know for sure if you have a separate amplifier or not. Find that out and get back to me. The route you take depends on budget and if you plan to add additional amplifiers or not.
  4. You will need to purchase a wiring harness or interface depending on your what your vehicle is equipped with from factory. If you do not have an amp from factory then your head unit will power your speakers. I installed a AVIC-8100 in my 2015 Sonata. I've had some issues with the Axxess interface kit. Enough issues that it is unusable. I started a thread here. I highly recommend not buying an Axxess product. I purchased a PAC RP4.2-HY11 interface. I will lose Blue Link but not a big deal since I do not use it. Although they will have a Blue Link interface available soon. You will have to s
  5. Certainly sounds like bad wiring. I triple checked all my connections, all are good. I am thinking it is the Axxess interface that is goofing this up. I just ordered a PAC interface. I'll solder this one in once I get it and report back. The PAC is suppose to have a rear view camera adapter and retains the factory usb port. The Axxess did neither of those. I will lose the Blue Link which I didn't use.
  6. I started my car this morning and the 8100 is no longer stuck on the reverse screen, weird. Another issue now is every time I open and close my door the unit turns on/off.
  7. I also reset the unit numerous times. That didn't get me "unstuck" either.
  8. Today I installed or attempted to install a AVIC-8100 in my 2015 Hyundai Sonata. I followed the Metra Axxess interface kit instructions to connect the 8100 to the stock wiring harness. I soldered and heat shrunk all the connections. I was a bit disappointed the Axxess did not supply a rear view camera connection cable but now I have bigger issues. When I first fired up the 8100 it worked as it should. After fiddling around with the Axxess steering wheel control interface and also making adjustments to the settings on the 8100 haphazardly I am now stuck on the rear view camera screen at startup
