  1. Well i placed an order for my new Pioneer Avic F-900BT last tuesday the 3rd on sonicelectronix.com for $929 and a ipod adapter for $49.99. So for both items and having them shipped i paid $1001..... Well today i check the price and they jacked it up to $1049.99 for just the 900bt alone!:shock::shock:

    Just wanted to keep the community updated

  2. Guys just thought id let all of you know that one of the payment options they offer is ebillme. This option gives you 90 days price protection. If the price lowers from them within 90 days ebillme will refund the difference to you. I found this out when I placed my order yesterday. You have to have on line billpay as part of your checking/savings account to be able to take advantage of it. And I can almost bet that the price will change in the first 90 days.

    Hey guys I just wanted everyone to know. I just got a call from ebillme about my order. They wanted to verify my order and asked me some info. At the end of that process they informed me that for first time users of their service there is a $25 rebate just for signing up with them. They also service nearly all major internet electronics merchants (crutchfield, tigerdirect, and many others) Sonic will also deduct $10 from your order if you use the ebillme payment option. So if you buy from www.sonicelectronix.com you get 90 days price protection from ebillme and if you are a first time user of their service you get another $25 rebate on top of that. I must say at this point I'm impressed and just wanted to pass on the word.

    Ebillme was a joke when i tried it. Even though i placed my order 6-3-2008 they wouldn't process my order till tuesday 6-10-2008 when in reality its only supposed to take 1-3 days to process. I called sonicelectronix several times and they told me that they couldn't process my order till they got the payment. Anyways my bank had to send ebillme a check and then once they got it, it would have to clear and then they will send your money to sonicelectronix. Real joke. It put my order way behind people who just payed by credit card. So i canceled the check and just paid it by CC. Whats $10 more? As soon as they get their supply in, they told me i should be in the first batch. Customer Service however estimated 1-2 weeks for it to ship. :roll: Not sure if this is right. Hoping if they get their units by tuesday the 10th (the actual day of release) it will ship that day. Fingers crossed. :D

  3. Just recieved our first F700BT and installed it in my own car for inspection purposes. Very nice! Tried just grounding light green wire first and video shuts off when hitting around 10mph. then took the mute wire and moved it into the empty slot just above it on the end of the harness and grounded it. no luck and video shuts off the same. I'll keep trying other ways know and see if anything hits. good luck to us!

    not to be a buzzkill, but a good portion of this forum is dedicated to finding ways to bypass pioneers units...im sure pioneer caught on and fixed the wire method for the F so it may be almost impossible to bypass it.

    You are a BUZZKILL!!!!!!!!!! :evil::evil::evil: hahahaha Ohwell im sure with time someone with find some type of program or wiring change which would override their design. Its all a matter of time. Trial and eror an famous philosopher once said. Especially with this new flash card and they way technology is, im sure there is some computer guru which will be able to figure it out.

    so :evil::evil::evil: bak atcha!!

    oh no you didn't. lol Well i think the D3's navigation sucked for the most part and the fact that the navigation disk were from 2006 and so many roads are under contruction in my area, the f-series is a nice choice. Plus it was a bi@tch pulling out the navigation DVD to watch a DVD or listen to a CD. But then again you aren't supposed to be watching movies while moving. :oops::oops: Plus i got almost what i paid for my D3 on ebay so i gota heck of a deal. Was only $350 to upgrade. :D:D

  5. Anyone know of a better plaace to buy a 900bt? My normal electonics store Sonicelectronix has it for $929 but i was wondering if anyone could PM me or public post a link of a cheaper place? Really wnt to get it while prices are competitive.

    Thanks a bunch!

  6. There is also a video I took in the very first post.

    Ive been trying to open it for several day now and it never opens. Maybe the format. I try to tead throught entire tread before bothing people with my questions because on antother forum im the one getting asked and i hate when the answers have lready been said, but dont get me wrong sometime ansers get barried in a $hit load of pages.

    Any different format you your video or suggestions?

  7. I am craving that new Avic F90BT. Probably as soon as it comes out im gonna bite the bullet. Kinda sad because i just got my Avic d3 in december. Planning on putting it on ebay soon and want to know what i should to expect to receive for it.

    Whats im selling:

    Avic D3

    3 year protection plan

    Bypass already completed

    With screen protector by Invisable shield (made to protect the front edge of helopter blades)

    Also all disc and assersories that came withit.

  8. I too am going to put my D3 that i just got back in december for sale. Avic F90BT has my name written all over it. :P Cant wait for it.

    What did me in was the Lync technology. Gotta love it, just say play"flo rida" and it will start automatically. Way nicer than the d3 and having to scroll through the artist.

    Also the late 2006 maps are killing me on the D3. They need some updates badly. Plus the shortest and fastest settings need some work.

    Bluetooth will just be a bonus on that.

  9. Thanks for these instructions!!!

    I followed them TO THE LETTER and put 15 .JPG image files on a CD-R, totalling 1.94MB.

    Of the 15 files on the disk, the D3 would only read 3 of them. Selecting any of the other files, eventhough the file names showed up on the list on the D3, gave me "Read Error" and they would not load.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks again!

    BQ

    As long as you followed the step exactly it should work. I just made another CD today and all the pics worked.

    Only ides is you did not follow #4 all the way. All the pics have to be named with letters and numbers ONLY. No spaces,"#","-" ,<-anything of that sort. Make sure you follow this.

  10. 1.)obtain up to 20 pictures(make sure they are ".jpg" format)

    2.)Make a folder on your desktop and call it "PICTURES"

    3.)Make sure all pics are 500x240(I used a free program called InfranView)

    4.)Make sure all pics ONLY USE characters such as A-Z and/or 1-10

    5.)Burn the Pictures folder to a CD-R using Nero or similar program.

    6.)Once done insert the burned CD into D3

    7.)Touch "settings" in NAVI Menu

    8.)Then touch "System Options"

    9.)Then touch "Background Picture Setting"

    10.)Touch(Splash Screen,Navigation Background,AV background)

    11.)Click "import from CD"

    12.)Locate file and then touch "Center"

    13.Touch "done" and you are finished!!!!!

    No need for filling files or another folder called Dummy Text

  11. OK well i downloaded the trail version of UltraISO and was in the process of buring me a new CD with backgrounds and it wont let me because i only have the trial version. Anyone out there that would be willing to share their registration code. I Know its a long shot but if so please PM me.

  12. Ok well i finally got to uploading some pics from my recent d3 Install. Seeing how there isnt another user on this forum that has installed a AVIC D3 dvd/nav unit in. I had to learn a few things through trial and error. First i could not find my facotry radio because i had already installed an aftermarket single din JVC unit. Initially i purchased a single din insatllation kit for my SC2(they DONT make a double din kit) and took a fine tooth saw blade and a box cutter and tried to make a custom kit. Well after several hours of tweaking it still turned out crappy. (pics are below of first setup) After finally finding my factory radio i took off the brackets and attached them to the D3. Then i purchased a piece of ABS plastic from a local car audio shop. $1 for a 8x12 piece. Only needed 7x9 piece. Anyways then i went to wally world(aka Wal-Mart) and purchased a set of plastic epoxy<-(Devcon High Strength Plastic Welder). Then after carefully measuring the AVIC and then the hole i needed to fill in my dash i carefully cut the ABS plastic to size with box cutter. This step was very time consuming, but be patient it will pay off. Then i attached the ABS to the back of my dash with the epoxy and masking tape to hold in position. After drying and a trial fit i had to trim a piece of the top to make it look more cosmetically appealing.

  13. Ok well i just installed my AVIC D3 and hooked up my semi new Ipod classic (I think its the newest version 80gb) andyways my ipod doesnt register it. Its either it doesnt read it or my cable came undone when i tried to jam it in its mounting position. :oops:

    Any ideas?

  14.

    As a caution, I would not try connecting to both of them. Doing so will essentailly be equivalent to connecting a jumper wire between the high and low signal wires which would not be good I would guess.

    Word of wisdom :idea::roll::wink::wink:

    I will try it tomorrow. My new Avic d3 come tomorrow. Im pretty dam excited!!!!! Heck i didnt even know there was a speedodometer on the avic.

  15. Ok i have located on my car my VSS and see that there are two wires. After reading on a saturn forum the say this..

    Yellow=high signal

    Purple=low signal.

    Now the questionis which one to hook up to? I asked on the saturn forum and they said they wernt sure but they thought it wouldnt matter. ANyone can confirm this?
