Does it make you feel that much better to be such a pampas a$$? I mean really? I read all 18 pages and just beacuse I need a lil help doesnt mean I or others asking the same questions deserve to be treated so rudely. FYI i did not "demand" for help I asked like a respectable person. Plus i have done numorous updates from the 2.0 update to the 3.0, to branded POI, to speed cams, and change the arrow size in the program scipt all without bricking my unit.

Thanks for the help. Did not know i needed a torrenty program like VUZE to download the file first. Also sorry for the font. Just needed to help and it wasnt meant as yelling but to get attention. If the two of you can't figure out how to download a file via torrent, when it's outlined in this thread at least twice, don't even attempt to mod your head unit. Seriously. Just put the SD Card away and slowly step away from the keyboard. This is for your own protection, I swear. I have done the 3.0 and numerous other updates and mods but none with .rar files. Ive tried numerous programs winRar(trial), rar frog, 7-zip and had no luck locating the numerous files in the rar file. I just need a lil guidance on what to use and what to look for.

How do you extract this rar file? Ive tried winRAR, Rar Frog, 7 ZIP. and no luck. Please help!!

Sorry for the dumb inquiry but how do i un-rar the torrent file? I have downloaded winRAR, winZIP, 7-Zip and not one can i get it to extract. ANy suggestions as far as what to try or what free programs can accomplish this task?

Do i need to put the testmode and winCE files on the SD as well? Also i downloaded all 16 files but they're in a ".rar" format. Is this correct or do i need to unzip these somehow?

Im working on the original mod but editing the numbers in the schemes that way you can see the street names in 3D(3.01FW update).

I have done it. Works for me. Still not perfect but much better than the original 3.0 where the street names didnt show up at all. You have to edit each scheme one by one. They are all different so you can only change the certain section.

Once you get to the blue screen then press the toggle Up, Up, Down, Menu, Left, Right. Once you do that it will pop up with the following blue screens found it this tread: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25817. Now push your SD card with the two new WinCEIMG files. This will clear your hard drive and update the wndows operating system. Then continue with the above steps.

Where is the sys. text document located?

Yes. The A/V part of the AVIC, which the Image.res covers, has not changed much from 2.0 to 3.0. The only thing that will need to be fixed would be the box that comes up on the Nav screen when a phone call is in progress. Do you have to edit a particular file?

Thanks a bunch that was a lot of help. I looked in that wile but evidentially not deep enough. I just went My Flash Drive-APL2-iGO-content and thats it. Thanks for the info. I will wait till someone perfects it and try their file. I'm going on a trip this weekend and don't want to fuss around with it potentially making it un-usable for the trip.

X2 I have had this problem 6 times. I have done mods and updates several time before seeing how i had one of the first f-series units. I did the 3.0 update4 times then tried to update with the pioneers 3.01 and no such luck.

I recently have updated my F700BT to 3.0 found here: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25751 I successfully upgraded and my unit has no problems such as shutting down but i was trying to update to pioneer's 3.01 free update. I tried 6 times uploading the LPUE080 and then following the steps on pioneer but for some reason it seems like it doesn't recognize the file when i put the SD(with LPUE080) and starting the unit up. It just goes through the actual start-up process and my unit load like normal. I cant get it to automatically register the new LPUE080 to save my life. Any i

Did some researching in went in to Settings/Navi Settings/Smart Zoom edit(wrench looking button) -Set the Zoom-Out level to 400ft or below. You can get them with 500ft but sometimes they dont show up till you're right on top of them..
