I used to get the PB error message so I had my 8000 rewired so that the PB wire was not grounded. Did the mod and in motion video from the iPhone via HDMI cable works great!

How to video: Even if there is no need to ground the PB wire, is there any reason not to on the 8000?

So, it would be possible to connect IPhone lightening cable to USB1, a USB HDD to USB2, and power the HDMI a/v adapter from a separately installed USB port, and have all three available by making the proper setting changes on the deck?
