I don't remember reading, but does this have to be bypassed to use dvd functions or no need to worry about that? I will be ordering mine Monday. upgrading from the D3

no you can still use the DVD and Navi well the car is not moving, what the bypass does it allows u to have a Video on well driving, which the only real use for that would be if someone else in the car was watching it

my question is, i have the sat radio unit for the AVIC D3 will I be able to use that one or will i have to get another?

Does anyone know if the iPod cable, the Pioneer one, will also charge the iPod while it is connected and the car is on so the battery does not drain?

I'd say so, the D3 does i know that, so I'm guessing it does as well

question i know the F series is a 2 DIN i was just wondering if it would be the same exact size like the D3 or would i need like a different DASH kit to install this unit into my Mercedes... it should fit the same right?
