  1. I have an audio vox licence plate camera that you can get at best buy for 130 bucks. It works pretty good. It also has a bypass on it that will allow you reverse the image. I lot of camera's will be reversed when you plug them into the avic. It took only a few mintues to install. Wiring is really really easy. To flip the imgane image so it is correct on this camera. Just pull the cicuit thing where you connect the wires together. Just get it and it will make sense.
  2. Yes you need to turn on the input that you want to use. I think it is under system on the AV menu. Don't hold me to it. I don't have it memorizied. You do need to turn on the av input
  3. I have posted a couple of things on the forum about not getting the bypass to work. I have a couple of things I want to run by everyone to help me fix my problem. Starting off. I have audio but no video on DVD. No I can't midify route on GPS when in motion. I went down to the local stereo store and they told me that I needed to hook up my speed sensor and intall an on off switch along with moving the pin, grounding it out and then grounding out the parking brake wire. Is this BS. I also have gone into the vechile dynositics menu that tells you what is hooked up. Should the Speed sen
  4. Thanks, It looks like I will have to figure out the bypass
  5. It looks good, but I am very willing to try and fix. How do I make it seat good, if it is not?
  6. I was wondering if the gm integration adapter could be affecting the bypass. I have not been able to get mine to work. Could that be it? I hope there is an installer out there that can help me out, or someone who has done it with this adapter. I am about ready to give up on the dang bypass. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!! I know I have made a lot of posts, but I haven't gotten anything back that has fixed my problem. Sorry everyone, I want the bypass, just as much as the next guy.
  7. yes you can tap into the tailight for your power and ground. The camera will only work and will get power when you back up though. Use the back up light hook up for power. you can ground by using the backup lights ground. It is the same idea as hooking up extra backup lights. I have done this and I have a backup camera for my truck.
  8. IT is probably an audio hook up. My camera has a built in microphone and I hooked. You can use one of the two assesory jacks and hook it up. You don't need it to make your camera work
  9. Ok I could not get the bypass to work in my truck for my D3 so I am looking at going a diffrent route. Can I put in a DVD changer. I already have a 12 cd changer installed. Can I do both? I am only seeing one IBus plug in the back of the D3
  10. It might be the weather. I have been having trouble with mine. Mine is just black with the old tv line that move up. After my truck is warm and it warms up a little outside, it seams to work. I am using an audiovox licence plate frame camera. Got it at Best buy for 130 bucks. It works good, and it has a feature that always you to flip the image so it right. Pioneer did some stuff to the units that flip the image if you don't buy the pioneer camera. Let me know if it might just be the weather. I am just guessing about mine from experience. Work fine during the day, a little trouble wh
  11. Nav works, I can't view or edit any routes though.
  12. I can't modify my route when driving over ten. I only have access stuff that should already work. Not the stuff after the bypass.
  13. I am stuck on the bypass. I have check and re checked everything. I have moved mute wire and grounded, grounded e brake wire. Grounded ground wire. I can not get the thing to work. I have audio but no video. I can get the DVD controls to come up and they work. Just no video. I am not getting a warring light coming up saying that e brake is not hooked up correctly. I drive a 2006 Chevy Silverado. I have a backup camera hooked up as well. So has anyone had the audio but no video problem? If so, how did you fix it? I need to know if I have a bad unit, if so I need to talk to Pioneer
  14. havn't tried it yet. i will get back to you when I do.
  15. Is it common if you don't do the bypass correctly to have audio, but no video???? If this is true I need to do some problem solving, or do I have a bad unit. I am already having issues with the touch screen a little bit. Just a little help before I start ripping my hair out. Peace everyone
