  1. I have an audio vox licence plate camera that you can get at best buy for 130 bucks. It works pretty good. It also has a bypass on it that will allow you reverse the image. I lot of camera's will be reversed when you plug them into the avic. It took only a few mintues to install. Wiring is really really easy. To flip the imgane image so it is correct on this camera. Just pull the cicuit thing where you connect the wires together. Just get it and it will make sense.

  2. I have posted a couple of things on the forum about not getting the bypass to work. I have a couple of things I want to run by everyone to help me fix my problem. Starting off. I have audio but no video on DVD. No I can't midify route on GPS when in motion. I went down to the local stereo store and they told me that I needed to hook up my speed sensor and intall an on off switch along with moving the pin, grounding it out and then grounding out the parking brake wire. Is this BS.

I also have gone into the vechile dynositics menu that tells you what is hooked up. Should the Speed senor say 1. I am not sure I hooked up the right wire.

It also says that my parking brake is off. Should it say On if bypass in done correctly? I drive a 2006 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3 liter engine.

Also I notice an intial menu comes up on the AV screen when I first plug in unit. It as a mute button. Do I mess with this at all?

Getting back to the dynostics menu. When I turn it on I get a beeping noise and the speed sensor goes from 1 to a quick blip 0 and back to 1 again. Is this Normal. I apperiate any help because I am stuck. Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have checked the pin and it is moved on spot up from stock

  3. I was wondering if the gm integration adapter could be affecting the bypass. I have not been able to get mine to work. Could that be it? I hope there is an installer out there that can help me out, or someone who has done it with this adapter. I am about ready to give up on the dang bypass. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!! I know I have made a lot of posts, but I haven't gotten anything back that has fixed my problem. Sorry everyone, I want the bypass, just as much as the next guy.

  4. Ok I could not get the bypass to work in my truck for my D3 so I am looking at going a diffrent route. Can I put in a DVD changer. I already have a 12 cd changer installed. Can I do both? I am only seeing one IBus plug in the back of the D3

  5. It might be the weather. I have been having trouble with mine. Mine is just black with the old tv line that move up. After my truck is warm and it warms up a little outside, it seams to work. I am using an audiovox licence plate frame camera. Got it at Best buy for 130 bucks. It works good, and it has a feature that always you to flip the image so it right. Pioneer did some stuff to the units that flip the image if you don't buy the pioneer camera. Let me know if it might just be the weather. I am just guessing about mine from experience. Work fine during the day, a little trouble when it gets dark.

  6. I am stuck on the bypass. I have check and re checked everything. I have moved mute wire and grounded, grounded e brake wire. Grounded ground wire. I can not get the thing to work. I have audio but no video. I can get the DVD controls to come up and they work. Just no video. I am not getting a warring light coming up saying that e brake is not hooked up correctly. I drive a 2006 Chevy Silverado. I have a backup camera hooked up as well. So has anyone had the audio but no video problem? If so, how did you fix it? I need to know if I have a bad unit, if so I need to talk to Pioneer about using my warranty. My unit was made in Aug. 2007. Please someone, give me a simple answer. I have put in about 15 cd playler, Intalled subs, disc changers. I am not great, but I have experience doing installs and I am stuck.

  7. I grounded out the mute and e brake wire. I also moved the pin for the mute up one from the stock position? I am stumped!!!! I took everything out and re did it also. How many things can I ground out on one wire. I am grounding out my AVIC the mute wire, the e brake wire, and my back up camera. Is what I have happening normal and I just did the bypass wrong, or is it my unit that might have been damaged. I am referring to the auto, but no video. I have no video even when I am parked with e brake on.
