  1. Today started up the car and immediately noticed that Sirus XM has started to make major channel changes on the list. Some channel names were changed, some moved, etc. Accordingly many of the channel icons are now not functional. I have seen that there are ways to redo the category logos, (those have changed for some as well) but no way to replace the channel logos.

Anyone have any ideas? I sent Pioneer an email but do not expect much help.

  2. Perhaps the 6th Gen iPod will, not sure but the 3rd Gen Nano will not. if you go to the full thread the new 3rd Gen Nano has a new pin out that tells it what kind of video to output and with out it it will just blink a message telling you to plug in the video out cable since it is waiting for a signal. I checked with both Apple and Pioneer and they confirmed this info that this Nano will NOT work with the IP200 for video, audio is fine. Mine has the latest firmware update that allows you to turn on the video out, which the previous firmware would not. Again, I don't know about the Classic only the 3rd Gen Nano.

  3. I found out the hard way that my new Nano will not output video to the AVIC D3. After checking with my friend at Apple I found out why. It has to do with the way the newest iPods output video they have a sensing pin that tells them what to do. My Nano just sits there asking to be connected to a video connection. It is explained in this article:

The bottom line is that unless Pioneer comes out with a new iPod cable no new iPod (this includes 3Gen Nanos and 6th Gen iPods) will output video directly to an AVIC. You could get an Apple cable and connect to the video inputs but have no on screen control. So firmware updates are not going to fix your problems. I also confirmed this with Pioneer the tech said new Nanos and Classics are incompatible with the IP200 for video, audio is OK.
