  1. Hi All - I have an F90BT system set up for a GM installation and am wondering what I should try to sell it for. This was installed in a 2009 GMC Acadia, but will fit many 2007-2012 GM vehicles.

    I have:

    - F90BT w/iPod Cable

    - GM Wiring Harness

    - On-Star Module

    - GM Trim Kit

    - XM Radio Module

    - HD Radio Module

    - PAC Audio Steering Wheel Control Interface

    - All cables, Mic, GPS Antenna, etc.

    - Black Knob

    - Excellent condition

    Thanks!

  2. I searched the forum and seem to have a unique problem. I just picked up a Motorola Droid, and have no issue pairing and transferring my phone book with my F90BT. Here is the problem. If I go to Contacts in the Avic, I can scroll to Joe Blow Mobile, press it, and it will call Joe Blow's mobile. If Joe Blow calls me from his mobile, it just displays the incoming phone number, no names. Any ideas? Anyone else have this issue?

  3. Sorry for the confusion. Large red as in the bottom picture in your last post. One mod I had (maybe it was IDT's) had a much smaller speed cam icon. I don't really use this feature, but it is nice to see where a speed cam might be. I definitely have the speed cam warning turned off. However, the last 2 versions of your mod (10-8 and 10-10) I only copied the APL/IGO2 files, as the dates didn't change on the others. I did not delete the other files because then I need to reprogram my home address every time. I could try a fresh install of your mod if you think that would help.

  4. A two tone beep? I have never heard this before. Is this while navigating or not navigating?

Can anyone else confirm they are hearing this? I just want to make sure it's not scheme related or something.

With the Turn Restrictions on, I would get the visual indication as well as an audible indication, which is the 2-tone beep (kinda like a fast doorbell - ding-dong). Now when driving, in a route or not, with Turn Restrictions off I don't receive the visual but I still get the beep.

Also, at one time with your mod (I think) the speed camera indicators were very small. Now they are large red. Is there a setting for this, or was this from another mod?

BTW - this is a very nice and usable mod. Your suggestions for muting and canceling route while in cockpit view were very helpful. The cockpit mode along with the smaller, translucent street signs make a very nice looking display.

  5. another user suggested that if you you shut down your car don't leave it on the navi screen and it works for him every single time, i can't say that this solution works but it's worth a try

Nah - that doesn't work for me. I usually shut down on my XM screen. I can tell you that it ALWAYS works the first time after copying the files over in test mode. I'm not sure if that is any help - but thought I'd mention it.

  6. IDT - I am running the 3.1 version on page 23. The location of the red arrow in default FW 2-d mode always showed the point of the arrow as my actual location. This mod shows the back of the car as my current location - that is why I pointed it out. Maybe I need to recalibrate somehow? My system no longer switches to night mode at nighttime - I must select it manually. In the morning I must manually switch from night to day mode.

  7. FYI - a couple of things I have noticed, as well as a few questions:

    - House numbers are always on the wrong side. How do you turn them off? It would be nice if they were a darker font closer to the "car', but that is just me being picky. (I like the way they were in the Maverickster Mod)

    - The current actual location is at the front of the rear window of the red car in 2-d mode. It would be nice if the actual location was the front bumper of the red car.

    - The trip computer is unreliable. It works for me no more than 25% of the time. After reading other posts, it sounds like that may be an AVIC issue... I really like this feature! Too bad it isn't reliable!

    - Day/Night mode must be selected manually?

    - Clock is hard to read in night mode

    - Linear compass could be slightly bigger, or have different contrast - or I am getting old!

Sorry for being picky, but just wanted to leave feedback. I LOVE this mod - just want to make it better!

  8. Well I went out to take the pix, and noticed my trip timer running. Took a drive around the block and it worked o-k. Weird. I will keep an eye on it. I did take some pix and sent them to your e-mail IDT. You can see the word "settings" in the background on the Trip Computer screen. My phone doesn't take great pix, but I think you'll see what I mean. Also, the camera icon is missing a horizontal row of pixels. You should see that in the pic. I like the mod, and will send a little beer money your way.

  9. Yes - I had the x series 3.0, so it would not start the upgrade. All I had to do was delete MyFlashDisk and copy the backup over. The first time I must have left something orphaned, because I had to do it again. The upgrades don't seem to care what version of OS you have.

The official F-Series firmware seems to perform slightly better on the unit than the hacked x-series did. The map scrolling is now very smooth, key beeps by default are low, etc.

In my opinion, there are some obvious usability issues that Pioneer could have addressed, but don't seem to bother others here. For example, I listen to XM radio most of the time, and I like to view the map while driving. On the map it tells me the station I'm listening to. I know what station I'm listening to - I selected it. I would like the ability for that area to show song or artist by touching it. Same for iPod or HD radio. Oh well - maybe someday someone will figure out how to hack the UI.
