  1. No, the iso's should be just shy of 8 GB's each which is the reason for a dual layer disc.
  2. Wow! I finally come around to visiting the boards again and there is this awesome share. Thanks for helping us all out. I grabbed both - nice speedy download. MD5? Just to check integrity. I had a few issues unzipping the East DVD on my Mac but didn't want to waste a DL disk unless I knew I finished the download completely.
  3. Just curious if anyone out there with a D3 has installed the system in a VV MkV GTI / Jetta / R32? Looking for tips and answers concerning the auto dimming (night mode) hookup in our cars.
  4. Perfect indeed. The D3 actually auto connects better than my bluetooh headset does.
  5. Each disk is a dual layer disk that needs to be burned to a dual layer disk. Just an FYI.
  6. Big deal over nothing. I think the bypass is something most installers are aware of and know users want.
  7. Great LOL. And I just bought one today. I guess I'll keep it instead of having to pay the restocking fee. Thanks.
  8. I did spend some time browsing through search results with no answer. This is not bypass related because I have full GPS functionality. If its something you might know certain keywords for, please share. Every result page that I found is predominantly bypass related.
  9. Had my D3 installed today. Also picked up a new Nano. Loaded some movies on it which do play properly from the iPod. Upon connecting the iPod to the D3 in order to play, the screen turns black with a message to use the iPod for full use. Video plays on the iPod while audio is outputted through the car speakers. TV out is enabled on the Nano. Ideas?
  10. Ok, tried to do some price shopping at a different Car Toys and the rep helping me told me that the D3 could not use my factory amp. WTF. Seriously need to find a small non-Car Toys installer.
  11. Which car toys did you go to? And how much did you end up paying (if you don't mind me asking)?
  12. Anyone recommend someone or someplace that isn't going to charge $500+? I checked out Car Toys and they quoted me like $200 for the HU and an additional $80-90 for each additional "accessory" like the GPS and Bluetooth module, etc. I'd like to learn so I'm interested in being in he car while the installation is happening.
