your radio should still work even if the parking brake wire is disconnected. I drove around for a week without my ebrake cable hooked up, because i didn't feel like pulling the center console out, and the radio worked fine. sounds like they cut the wrong wire. If it was working fine before you went to that shop, there is no excuse why it would not work when it left.

Installed a D3, nav works flawlessly, voice guidance too. Radio plays great. I ordered the i pod cable, plugged in the ipod, and the interface pops up, says its playing, no volume. I figured the iPod cable is no good, I was getting ready to return the cable, but i tried a dvd today, it played fine, but no volume, then i treid a cd, the display showed the play time but had no volume either. Is there a wire i may have missed? or a setting i didn't do right? I need any help i can get, thanks.
