Hi, Outta curiousity, are any of the new pioneer units shipping with better xm support? There is a specific feature that my cheap XM tuner I got for free came with - the ability to save 'favorite artists' - NOT songs. One of the biggest gripes I have about the unit - I'd rather know when a certain artist is playing, not just a specific song. Does any other pioneer unit have this feature? Seems messed up that it comes with the basic XM units but not the expensive D3.

Hey, Just discovered something sick with my Iphone 1.0 Download the free Pandora app. (its a music streaming service that works really well if you didn't know) If you've got your phone plugged in using the ipod cable for the D3 then it will stream the music through the app into your system. (and charge the phone) It runs and sounds great, even over EDGE. For those who have 3g phones it will probably still work, but you won't get a charge. (You could always just run a stereo line to the input on the front i guess)

Why is it that the crappy free Roady that XM gives out can memorize just favorite artists but the D3/XM combo cant? I'd rather have 12 favorite artists (i think the roady does like 20 or 30) then have specific songs that are favorited. Especially when trying to catch some Dave Attell (since his stuff is impossible to find really really funny) If theres a way to do it or a setting I'm missing, can someone let me know?

I've got a chevy blazer... If you dont hook the vss up, does it disable some of the internal features of the d3? (doesnt the headunit have gyros and some nifty on screen displays that tell you how much of a maniac you are while driving?) knowing its optional means its most likely not getting attached either way i guess..thanks for the response (now i just gotta finish modifying my 1.5in dash to fit the double din. woo)

Hey, just got a D3... A little confused about how to hook up the car speed signal input. Pink wire. Do I need this seeing as I've already done the bypass? Where on the ECU would I tap in? its vague.. just says connect it to the injection computer.
