Yeah I know nothing about electronics so there is no way in hell I can do it myself. I was just wondering if that Best Buy price was worth it or should I go elsewhere.

I drive an '04 Chevy Silverado.

Best Buy wanted to charge me $180 in parts and $150 in labor for installation. What should I pay for installing the D3? I have the bluetooth and ipod connections with it. I'm located in NC and if there is anyone close that can do an install let me know.

Are these vehicle specific or universal? Any specifics on what to get?

Everything I've seen about them seems to check out. I haven't heard anything bad about them and I've looked over a few different review sites.

I'm nervous because I just ordered a AVIC-D3 package from them on Friday. They said it probably wouldn't ship until Monday because I ordered so late. Today is Monday and I went to go to the website to check the order status and the website is gone. I'm not sure what to think because I may have just lost $750. I keep trying to get to their website and it's not there.

I'm planning on buying an AVIC-D3 this week and getting the Sirius set-up too. From quickly browsing some of the threads I've noticed people complaining about the display of the Sirius on the AVIC. In my last car I had an external Sirius radio next to my head unit and I was very happy with it. I thought it was great, easy to use, looked good, and display was great. So do you miss out on some of those things when using the AVIC to listen to Sirius? I will get the Sirius set-up with the AVIC anyways because I love Howard Stern. I was just wondering what to expect out of it.

I've found some really good deals on the AVIC-D3 on some different websites only to find out that they are scams or just no good. I found a unit on CartronixPlus.com for $568.99. I checked with the BBB and there is no bad history and I also looked on some other business monitoring websites and they seem to have good ratings. I was wondering if anyone here has done business with them and how was the experience.
