Hello All,

 

Can some one have solution for converting Japaneses into  English for AVIC-MRZ099 . i have imported Honda vezel and all is in Japaneses.  secondly what exactly this device functionality . if all together change it with other DVD system does it made difference to some of built in  car functionality.

 

Any help in this regard will be highly appericated

Those who write in Russian scripts are denying us of vital knowledge. Could they Please write in English for everyone to understand responses or suggestions and avoid asking same questions repeatedly. I had asked before if any one has figured out how to set local time. My unit is MRZ 09. It sets itself back to Janese time zone. Ours is GMT +3 zone. Any help in English will be appreciated.

PF090JPENG.LNG this file is used by the system when you select english from navigation settings menu.

Navitel I have also worked for MRZ05. Does not see the satellites. Cityguide does not start. The satellites are not there until you deal with the information given by me in post 407

Dear friend, I have not reached the stage to configure the satellites and load the maps. My navitel runs but gives "unregistered version" error and stops. you can help me and others by giving the link from where we can download the navitel.

did you rename the igo.exe to navi.exe

yes I renamed the primo.exe to navi.exe

Thank you very much for sharing the IGO files. I have tried it on my mrz05 but the system keeps restarting and does not work at all. Therefor I had to copy the original navi.exe file back and the system is back to normal. so far only navitel works on mrz05, but it gives "unregistered version" error and stops working. I will try to find some other version of navitel and give it a try.

If you manage to run it in your unit, it is possible to find the maps for all countries (I think). Please inform us about your experiences.

Dear Friend, I have tried mapfactor on my mrz05 and it does not run at all. I have also tried navitel. It runs successfully but in the end gives the message " unregistered version " and stops working. I will let you know if I succeed.

I copied all files and directories of 'MapFactor NavigatorFree' Windows CE version to my MRZ02's USER\PRG1\APL (My Unit uses PRG1) folder, also changed the executable name 'Navigator.exe' to 'Navi.exe' but no way, it's not working.

 

I've found a Windows CE version of IGo, I copied all files and rename main executable as 'Navi.exe'. It's working but I have the same problem that device cannot locate GPS (meanwhile time is correct).

 

Questions are,

1. If it cannot locate GPS, where this correct time data comes?

2. If it is possible to run IGo, why MapFactor cannot be executed (both are Win CE version)?

the 'MapFactor NavigatorFree' which I could find, is a file which runs a complete setup on a windows phone and obviously one can not do this on a mrzxx. please inform from where you downloaded the MapFactor NavigatorFree and igo software, so that I can try and report back to you.

when i run the igo on my mrz he cant find the gps but its getting my local time set. i thing navigation get to the right port but its lock by pioneer. wonder if we can get a developer test mode key then will be acces to more options

you only need to replace the files. you do not need to remove the battery.

how to change language on pioneer avic  mrz 05 from japaneese to english please?

I have MRZ05 too. Have read all the posts and got to the stage where I have copied the file from the SD card but it does not allow me to paste it to the langdata folder. 

The "paste" option is greyed out and cannot be selected. 

Can you please advise ?

Dear AdzaM, I have also tried Maplorer on my MRZ05 but it does not run at all. I do not have IGO, if you give me the link, I will download and try to get it to work.

Although I dont feel that I have to explain ANYTHING it is very easy to delete any file from MRZ radios accidentally and never be able to retrieve that file..... before playing it James Bond, did you ever consider that instead of shooting stupid questions? I can fix MRZ 03,   MRZ 05, MRZ 07 and MRZ 09 as well as others to read ENGLISH instead of Japanese. Also I have a special antenna transformer that can allow the radio to reach all your FM stations for Europe. Further than that I also have the adapter for USB and JACK 3.5 mm etc. I also have maps for Europe which can be easily installed.

The language change is for free, so is the date /time settings.

However you will have to send me the unit and once I fix it I can return it to you.

The antenna adaptor/converter costs about 20 euro, the adapter for USB and Jack 3.5 mm for your audio/phone is about 10 euro and the maps are between 12 to 20 euros depending on the country, full Europe is about 45. Shipping to Cyprus should not be more than 20 euros. I am NOT selling anything I do this as a hobby but the costs must be covered by you.

I hope this is not understood as an advert because I dont charge anything.

Does anybody know where we can find the MAP file on the MRZ? 

I think that if we locate the map file, which is a map of Japan, somebody can edit that and transform it into map of Europe or country or whatever....

Otherwise i need to know how to install IGO or any other navigator on my MRZ 09.

Any ideas?

I have translated my MRZ05 manually and it works like charm

i have one question:

when i copy mp3 files to sd card and then plug it to my carrozzeria it shows mp3 files but duplicates them

for example:

01. robin thicke - blurred lines

_01. robin thicke - blurred lines

second one doesnt play 

i put one mp3 but it shows 2 

can anyone help?

put the sd card in your laptop and check what you see? It may be that your computer is virused.

Accidental delete pro.flg from USER DIR on my MRZ 09. I cannot copy/paste either. Is there a way to fix this? A script would be handy. Please, it doesn't start!

I have MRZ05. If I copy and upload the file, will it help you?

WORKED ON AN AVIC-MRZ05 following the instructions post #15 and using the .lng files  PF090JPJPN.LNG and PF110JPJPN.LNG downloaded from post #52 https://github.com/d...updatemrz99.zip all is good with the menu language.

Notice that I replaced also the PF090JPENG.LNG and PF110JPENG.LNG files with the same (renamed) PF090JPJPN.LNG and PF110JPJPN.LNG as I noticed that the ENG files were in Japanese and if one selected English language option during setup the text reverted to Japanese.

 

Just to say thanks to dzo for the great instructions and hard work translating the Japanese to English and providing the updated .lng text file. 

 

As a Sys Admin I recommend following the instructions and navigating the file system manually on the stereo rather than clicking and hoping on a script but I have great respect for dzo.

 

Will have to read this topic further but I'd like to convert the .WAV files to English but might need an interpreter.

 

Dear Friend, I think you do not need to translate the wav files. If you select english language then the DVD player speaks english.
