I've joined the list of people on this forum who have had their vehicle battery die, and my AVIC-6000NEX is now prompting me for a password (interestingly, I don't believe I ever enabled password protection or set a password when I installed this then-brand new unit a couple years ago, but I suppose that's irrelevant under the circumstances).
