  1. Cool. Thanks for the help!
  2. I have two questions concerning my Z2 - 1) How do I turn the Z2 off? I didn't really see a power button. 2) Is there anyway to disconnect the Bluetooth while a call is in progress without shutting the car (or Z2) off? For example, let's say I'm driving down the road, but want to talk using the phone iteself, and not over the Bluetooth through the stereo. Is there an easy way to do that? Thanks...
  3. Go to second page of this thread - Jersey EMT did the install and you'll see his post. Click on the 'PM' button at the bottom of his post.
  4. Huh? I did pay someone to install it. He even posted in this thread - Jersey EMT (That's him in the picture).
  5. STUPID QUESTION WTF are you going to upgrade to? A Bugatti Veyron OR Koenigsegggg Ha. That's a different tax bracket. Possibly a Spyder or the new LP560/4... Yum.....
  6. I really like mine so far. I've only used the Nav maybe twice so far, and it seems to work well. But I didn't really get it for the Nav, more important to me was the XM Sat radio - I can't live without it, so I guess any head unit could have worked. The few times I have used the Nav, it seemed faster than my other cars that have DVD based Nav systems. The menus can be a little confusing since there are alot of them compared to the factory nav setups which are VERY basic. I only decided to get the Z2 because I wanted something in there that had a good value to go along with the car in
  7. Had everything installed over the weekend. Came out great. Got the XM, backup cam, and Bluetooth. Everything works great, and I am just starting to customize the unit. Once the weather clears up around here I can mess with the nav functions a bit more. I even got the splash screen and background images all setup - Here it is in the shop (wearing my 'winter' rims/tires) let me know which ones you like better - HRE's or Orange/Black.
  8. I am getting XM, since I have XM in all my other cars. I don't have an Ipod, so no need for that stuff. I am also getting the backup cam; even though rear vis isn't that bad, I'd still feel more comfortable backing up if I could actually see. Is the bluetooth adapter an add on, or does it come preinstalled?? I thought it came with it - I do have a bluetooth phone, so that would be a good idea (even though I don't talk on the phone much when I'm in the G.
  9. I'm from Bergen County (Just North of Paramus, if you know where that is), and my Lambo is orange.
  10. Awesome. Looks easy enough. I'm sure it's no issue, but that link says 'Bypass for Z1', I would imagine that it is the same for the Z2? Is there any other option or 'must have' for the Z2 before I have it installed? I've have factory nav in my other cars, and they cannot be customized like the aftermarket units. I'd like to take full advantage of all the perks of having one of these systems. Thanks again,. MJB
  11. If I ground the parking brake wire, in one of the threads I was reading, if the parking brake wire is grounded, when you start moving a 'warning' message would pop up that the parking brake is engaged. Or is this corrected with the 'secret' wire. Oh, how does one find the secret wire???
  12. I have decided to have an AVIC-Z2 installed in my Gallardo (along with backup camera, and XM), and had a few questions for the experts - 1) Does anyone know where the VSS can get connected to on this car? And is it really needed if we can't find the right wire? 2) If I read correctly (I have been on this site for about 2 hours reading numerous posts on the Z2), you can change the background image on the startup splash screen, and this is explained in the manual, correct? I would like to but the Lambo shield on there at startup. 3) What is the best way to bypass the Z2? (I have read
