  1. That's just it. The screen isn't dead. It just reads the touches about 1/4 of an inch off. And the calibration seems to have a helped (a lot). But it's still not quite right. I bought this as a floor unit from Best Buy a little less than a year ago. And I never registered it. So I doubt that it's under warranty. I wish i had the money to buy a Z1 off eBay.
  2. I had the same problem. I just hit the reset button and that fixed the problem
  3. The "trace the white box" is a gimme. But what about the other one, I keep pressing the fscking + sign in the little gray box and it doesn't recognize it. I suppose I'll try it again in the morning. Thanks for the link. PHPBB's search kinda stinks.
  4. My touch screen simply isn't working for about half of the screen (the right side) which makes it impossible to adjust things higher from the EQ menu or even use the on screen keyboard. Any one have any issues similar to this, or should i see if Pioneer covers this..... or could this be an excuse to upgrade to a Z-series? This is called digitizer drift. *shrug* Any way to recalibrate the touch screen?
  5. Making the custom backgrouns isn't hard at all. The directions are pretty self explanitory, and there seem to be plenty of decent quality backgrounds posted throughout this forum. As far as the XM logos are concerned, I don't think I've read a post that says that's possible or not.
  6. Thanks. I couldn't really find a straight answer to that by searching.
  7. I have the AVIC-D1 with the lockout bypass. I was hoping to upgrade to the CNDV-60MP maps. Will this load any firmware or anything that will disable the bypass and re-lock the unit? Thanks.
  8. I grounded the Parking Break wire, put a wire in the unused spot of the wiring harness, it's not working for me. Any suggestions?
  9. So what you're saying is: filename=01 Nonpoint-Rabia.mp3 Display="01 Nonpoint-Rabia.mp3" (of course it truncates off whatever characters it can't display) What i want is filename="01 Nonpoint-Rabia.mp3" diplay="Rabia" Of course this is all in the list of available tracks in the given folder. I don't want the filename displayed, i simply want the track title. I don't understand why it doesn't do this, when all of the other lesser head units w/mp3 playback display all the tag info by default
  10. anyone? Even if you're just gonna tell me I'm a dumbass. Thanks, Yinko
  11. I just installed an AVIC-D1 in my '02 Protege. It plays the MP3s just fine, but will not display the ID3 information unless I hit the file info. Is there a setting that I'm over looking? Thanks.
