  1. My iPod started doing this as well yesterday, but I have the F900BT. It was working great and then loaded a song and whamm-o. I have re-synced and such, but when the iPod is hooked up, the unit does an infinate reboot. When un-hooked, the unit works great until you re-hook up the iPod.

I have not done any modifications to this unit in over a year, so its nothing that was changed recently on the unit.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

    Thanks...

  2.

My only question is about the "price is right" wheel. Not sure if this is an option that is only available on the Z120 and not the upgread???? or if its just a setting that I missed somewhere. I can't scroll through it, the middle icon is the album artwork, then an up arrow on top and down arrow on bottom.

Any help is appreciated thanks guys.

Turn off Shuffle and it will be there on iPod screen.

  3. For some reason, when I updated my Z110 to the Z120, the scrolling XM wheel did not activate. So on my system it was just a static picture and I could not scroll or select one of my presets. I called Pioneer and they suggested I reset my XM receiver, so I did that on Saturday morning and then everything worked as planned. So basically any problems related to the XM screen was resolved by resetting the receiver on the XM module.

  4. Well what do you know, I guess the Pioneer techs hit this one on the head. I removed my XM receiver and reset it and re-installed it and now it works. I am gonna keep that case number handy in case the issue comes back.

  5. If I still have issues, then I will need to pull the unit and the XM receiver out of my vehicle and send it to them.

That is their way of trying to discourage you from pursuing the issue. they know most people wont want to go to the trouble. Call them back and tell them you would like a case number on the issue. Then continue to contact them every couple of weeks until they look into the issue. Tell them its an easy issue to reproduce and give them the steps to do so.

They gave me a number to reference, which is #1311182. I will do what they suggest this weekend, if its still acting up, I will be calling them before I rip it all out and send it to them.

  6. Well I got an email back from the engineers asking me to call in to the support line to discuss this problem. It appears that (wait for it...) that I am the only one with this issue. They have no clue why. They suggested I pull out the XM receiver and reset it since all presets are stored in there. If I still have issues, then I will need to pull the unit and the XM receiver out of my vehicle and send it to them.

Hopefully its just a reset button issue.

  7. I sent Pioneer a long email about it and even sent the pictures. They did reply but with a generic "We have received your email and someone will be in contact with you shortly" response. Hope they can help me out, its not like I can re-install this update very easily.

  8. bwolfe that last part is not true. That left-pointing arrow on the bottom of the iPod interface will take you back to the last menu. i.e. if you start your car, hit artist, album, and then the song name to start playing, you can hit the left-arrow at the bottom (next to "genre) to take you back to the album. Again, that's how it is on the x920bt....

Still need more info on the scroll-wheel on the right when in an actual album...

There is a left arrow? I must have missed it or its really small. Now I have to go check. Thanks for the info. :)

  9. I did my upgrade last night and I did notice a few things I did not like about the iPod interface:

    1. You can no longer hit a single button for "Shuffle All". You have to start at the beginning and select ALL for Artist and then ALL for Album and the ALL for Song, then it will SHUFFLE ALL. Does anyone know a better way?

    2. When you are listening to an song, example: Journey -> Frontiers -> Faithfully, and you want to select a different song off the menu (same album) to play, while Faithfully is playing, you have to hit ARTIST, ALBUM or SONG and it will flip the screen but then you have to find the ARTIST, ALBUM or SONG off your iPod again. The wonderful Price Is Right Wheel doesn't scroll on my iPod interface, it just selects the next song, like the keys on the unit. There is no back feature that I have found.

Other than that its cosmetically nice to look at. I just wished they kept a few options alive from the old interface.

    My 2 cents worth. :)

  10. Still "awaiting shipment" Those suckers are heavy and big apparently.

I agree. They indicated to me tht it should ship by Wednesday. Well they missed that deadline. I was looking at my order history and when I bought my upgrade for my F Series last year in 2009, I ordered it on July 6th and it finally shipped August 10th. I remember them telling me the same thing, and they were waiting for them to come in and they would ship 2 days later. That one took over a month.

What upsets me, is that they take orders like they are in stock and make you wait. I wish they should have just done a "pre-sale" thing until the items are actually in stock rather than make us think they were in and ready to ship.

My 2 cents... I am stepping down off the soapbox now. :)

  11. Here is what I got from an email to Pioneer:

    Hello,

We are expecting this item to arrive at Pioneer today or tomorrow, and it will ship within a day or two after it arrives. It will still be delivered within 2-days of shipment.

    We apologize for any inconvenience.

    Have a great day,

    So we'll see...

  12. My computer rocks and it still took 3 days. Well actually it would do like 4500 songs then crash. Nice thing is that after the crash it continued where it left off, so my 3 days includes those times when it crashed and stayed crashed until I reset it. I can actually access the playlists created for musicsphere on my AVIC through the iPod playlists, it lists them there in a funky fashion.

  13. I started the analyzing of my music at 7:00pm last night, I have 23300 songs in my iTunes, this morning, 12 hours later, it has only processed 20% of the songs (4933 at last look). It looks really cool, but if you have a large music collection, be prepared to have it work awhile.

My collection should be done by the time the update is released. LOL!

  14. I noticed the MusicSphere software is available for download on the Pioneer website and was wondering if anyone has played around with it yet?

My question is that on the video is says its uses your Itunes to create the playlists based on genre, bpm, recent additions, etc. Does this require you to make sure that information is correct or completed on your itunes music or is it connecting to server once it gathers your music and finds all the information that way?
