you can get them for $637 net from www.abt.com.. they sell it online for $837 then you subtract the $200 mail in rebate. That's the D3X for that price. They are also an authorized dealer. I called Aaron there today, they are out of stock today but have more coming in early next week. The rebate has really made them sell fast. If you call him directly he said he would even save me another $37 since I would have to wait a few days. Not a big savings but nice that he did something. They always give free shipping so that makes it $800 minus the $200 rebate. I'm ok with mailing in and waiting for

why is everyone so excited about best buy selling a D3 for $699 when you can get a D3X for $100 less and it comes with bluetooth, ipod, and the remote.

best buy is only showing the D3, not the D3X unit on their website and the are not discounting it. just checked and it shows $1000.

and sonic doesn't even have the d3x on their website anymore. and you have to ship it back to them if it has a problem. cant really tell if they are an authorized dealer so it doesn't look like you would get a warranty from Pioneer.

or you could try ABT Electronics...avic-d3x for 797 minus a $200 mail in rebate which would more than cover the install parts.. and they have an actual store and are an authorized dealer, and free shipping too!

you've seen a avic-d3 or a avic-d3X at your local shop for $599...what's the name of the shop, local people might be interested in going there if that's true

that would be a good find except what your are linking to at Best Buy is not the same product! It is just a D3, NOT a D3x! So you are paying more money than the $597 and you don't get the bluetooth module, Ipod adapter, and remote. Not really a good deal.

I got one on a smoking deal from one of the local stores here. It is a chicagoland based store. They had the AVIC-D3X for $797 PLUS there is a $200 mail in rebate from Pioneer which made it $597!!!!! If you are out of their local delivery area they don't charge sales tax and ship to you for free. Not sure what states qualify for no tax but if you give them a call they will let you know.
