so.. what I said was wrong, if you caught it. I did wipe my nexus 5x and it now works with the 8200 and android auto like it did a few months ago. I can't tell you why though.
something in android 8.0 and 8.1 did mess it up though. A fresh reset to 8.1 is fine. Far as i can tell pioneer and android auto work well with my 8200.... android 6.0, 7.1 and 8.0, 8.1
I have a random usb c cord also a 90 degree adaptor then extension, then my C cord, or micro cord.
I would guess pixel people need a factory wipe and it will work fine.
I have the micro byass, and the long press left corner thing before I tried two fresh phones. Both work fine.
Can you tell me which micro bypass you used for your AVIC-8200NRX?

Yes, all of them have it, Its a liability statement and all the new units this goes away by itself after 7 seconds

Did you place the usb flash drive in USB1? If you have an SD card you can also run the update from that too

The only con I heard about it takes like 10 seconds to boot up, otherwise it highly recommended.

Mine is sitting in its box getting ready to be installed next weekend along with keyless entry and 4 focal RCX-165 speakers into my 2014 Nissan Versa Note. In the future will probably add an Alpine KTP-445U brick amp to boost the power up to 45W per channel

Hi everyone, new to the forum.
I just bought a AVIC-8200nex to switch out my old kenwood headunit on my toyota supra. I have an aftermarket amplifier using RCA cables to the unit which works fine with my old kenwood. I got the harness all set up, plugged in the rca wires to the amplifier and I'm not getting any audio. I though maybe it was a cable or amplifier issue so I bought the 8200nex into the house. I hooked up a 12 volt dc power source and connected it to my home speaker via rca cables and put in a cd and still no sound. Anyone have similar issue or a quick fix or do you guys think i got a bad unit? seems like everything else is working on the unit. any info is appreciated.
This appears to be a common problem, I wonder if there is any software switch that needs to be turned on like the sub-woofer button. I have seen a youtube video that they were installing a Alpine block amp and had the same problem with the RCAs but worked fine thru the wiring harness

Hi, I just discover this site today while googling for an answer to why the subwoofer on/off setting disappeared from my head unit.
Hopefully someone in here could help me. Not sure when the subwoofer on/off setting disappeared as I have not needed to make any adjustments lately. Obviously with the subwoofer off and no setting to turn it back on I cannot adjust anything related to the sub. I know there was an on/off setting at one point I am just not sure how to get it back.
Thank you in advance
Don
Did you try reinstalling the firmware?
