well, all was taken care of. the unit was a demo unit and was still active under said account. once turned off under the old account and reprogrammed under mine it worked fine.

Hello all, installed the two units myself. the XM unit was a refurb. connected everything correctly: D3 IP-bus blue connector to black IP-bus out on XM unit data cable is connected to their respective ports on each unit. power only(yellow) and the ground are connected. left the red ACC disconnected. and the antenna is also connected of coarse. I get the XM signal great. but I cannot get the xm to activate( all the channels), now the thing I noticed is that it is in "UPDATING" status since I plugged it in. how long should it take to update the latest encyption code? minutes hours? an
