  1. found it! it's almost dark outside so i will have to wait till tomorrow to actually run the wire. but at least i located the damn thing (which was the hardest part)
  2. great i'll check that out soon. Thanks allot
  3. Avic-n3 2000 Buick Century the installer at bestbuy did not hookup the vss wire and from what i have read it *does* have some effect on the navigation. i already have the N3 bypassed, so this won't interfere right? where is the closest location i can splice the VSS? and what color is the wire going to be? I run the wire back to the hideaway unit correct? anything esle i need to know before doing this? ok i think i'm done asking questions lol. Thanks guys!
  4. I decided to bypass it this morning and it went without any problems. the parking brake wire was the only wire not zip tied so it was really easy for me to find. this is my first navigation screen and i am absolutely loving it.
  5. Just got back from bestbuy, when i first explained to him what you thought it was he more or less said "theres no way i did that" but sure enough he did! and now it's working great. now i just have to take it all back out to do the bypass :D Flip Switch ground light green parking brake wire is it really that simple?
  6. thanks for the quick response, i will be heading back over there tomorrow morning so i will definetly pass that on! if there is anything else you or anyone else can think of let me know.
  7. Hello, just received my Avic-n3 today and took it to bestbuy to be installed into a 2000 Buick Century. once the installer was finished and powered it on you can't turn up/down the volume, and it will always display "mute" in the bottom left corner. when putting in a cd it appears to be playing but as soon as i touch the volume control it shows mute. now the installer has no idea what to do, he told me the unit just might be bad, i just wanted another opinion. also i have not yet put in a navigation disc does this affect it? (didnt wanna open one if i have to return all of it
