I drove around for about 10 minutes with the VSS disconected, drove home, and hooked it right back up. HUGE performance degredation. I can deal with a little low speed lag.

Thanks for the help man. I'm just going to try dissconecting the vss wire completely. I haven't read any complaints from people who arent using it. If this dosn't work out I'll give a speed pulse generator a try.

It's a 2006 grand prix. I've noticed that below 7 MPH the beeps stop. In the manual it says that some cars don't produce a speed signal at low speeds. Driving through back roads with a lot of stop signs is where I see the lag the most, so I'm guessing this is the problem. It it very accurate on the free ways. Is there a way to tap into the tire speed, or is there something I need to buy? I've read about a speed pulse generator. Is this what your talking about?

Hey, I'm new to GPS so this is probably a stupid question. I just installed my D3 and everything works. 8 satalites and one green bar most of the time. The beep to speed is changing tune with speed, so my VSS wire is good. When I make sudden changes in speed the D3 lags behind in response. If I take off from a stop the D3 gets a good bit behind. and when I stop a bit to quickly, the D3 goes right into the intersection before stoping. It's gonna get hit! . Ok, that was retarted. But anyway, I'm just wondering if this is normal, or is my D3 drunk? Aside from speed changes, i

Install went smoothly for the most part and the system works great. I guess I screwed up the illumination wires though . Gonna take it out and try again today. So close. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help. I'm guessing this will just keep constant power to the antenna, and anything else requiring a turn on signal? If I hook up an external amp also, will this over draw on the circuit? Definitly appreciate the reply, thanks again.

Hey, I am wiring up my D3 harness to a GMOS-01. I'm a little confused about the antenna control wire on the D3 harness. The GMOS-01 harness has no place for it. It does however have two blue and white wires that the directions say to conect to eachother and the amp turn on wire. I am installing this into a 2006 Grand Prix non-amplified system, and from what I have come up with is my car does have a powered glass antenna. But that was just from one random guys sight I stumbled across, so that dosn't mean much. So, where does the antenna wire go, and whats with the amp turn on wires? S
