hey , you seem to be pretty smart with the avic's around here ...
question on the gauges ... i heard a rumor ... i dont know how trueee this is .
is there a way to ADD gauges ... i.e. instead of just the volate or clock or acceleration let's say ... i want to add my turbo boost gauge somehow ??
someone told me that someone once did that , but i could be mistaken .
in any event , are there any gauge ADD-ON's available ??
Thanks .
Nope

Wrong interface. You need a CD-I200. Yes I'm sure, no the interface you have can't be changed in any way shape or form to work with the d3.
-
Dunno
probably not
and no.

I don't have a listing for the reverse wire.
-
They'll be like that until the traffic part is activated.

As long as the old pioneer radio was installed properly, using the factory backets and not cutting up the dash, you don't need anything else. The radio opening in the truck is a double din opening. The only thing that's remotely difficult about that truck is the fact you have to remove the entire lower dash from driver side to passenger side to put the deck in.

Tach is NOT the same as speed sense. Here's what I have listed for a 96 7series
White AT TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE ON PASSENGER SIDE UNDER HOOD
-
And it's white/red not red/white...
-
It's a ford thing. The stock radio isn't as sensitive to a corroded connection as an aftermarket deck is. If I had a nickel for everytime I was told "but it was fine with my stock radio" I'd be a millionaire.

THat's the harness that plugs into the instrument cluster. So you'll have to remove the gauge cluster.
-
Dash kit - 95-3302
Antenna Adapter - 40-cr10
Harness
With factory amp - GMOS-LAN-04
Without Factory amp GMOS-LAN-03
Steering wheel interface - PAC SWI-PS
-
No problem. If you want to connect it. The vss in your truck is white/red at the gauge cluster harness.

Rustangs don't have an power antenna. Check the mast make sure it's screwed into the base all the way. Also check the underside of base of the antenna itself. It may be corroded. If that's the case, it should be replaced.

It's the vss lead. What year titan is the it. It's not absolutely needed just makes gps a bit more accurate.

Front and center.
Little warm up there eh?

I beleive that the module you're looking for is the cd-hoover1. Cost is about 600 and was discontinued for lack of sales. Probably still find it on fleabay though

tie it to the yellow wire of the avic. Do it all the time without any problems.
-
I vaguely remember it being in the front center of the engine bay. I don't remember exactly since the only one I did was shortly after the vehicle was publicly availible. Was my first and only foray into sidework for a dealership...... Big mistake that was....
-
Like I said about 20 posts ago, the antenna output of aftermarket radios provides a limited amount of current. In some cars this is not enough to power up the antenna amplifier. Oh and as HifiSi said the blue/white wire in the case of the avic acts EXACTLY the same as the red wire.
-
My signature says it all...
-
that means the avic is not mounted securely in the dash and is vibrating too much.
-
NOpe buttons don't dim either when dimming dash lights.

You do realize you're on an avic based forum right? The answers you receive are going to be biased. Oh and one post is enough. Your other one has been removed.
Need help with my new Z2

Speed Sense GREEN (AC) PIN 28 OF 32 PIN PLUG BEHIND CLUSTER
40-EU55 or 40-VW53 are the amplified antenna adaptors. It's one of the two for you car forget which one though. If you can provide a picture of the antenna plug in the car it would help.
