  1. THe part # is 99-5802. As for taking it to be installed, might want to talk to whomever you're looking to have put it in first and make sure that they're going to do all that should be done. Such as hooking up the vss, reverse, and illumination. You can also see if they do the bypass for you. I know circuit and best buy cannot do that though.
  2. Odds are then there's another yellow wire in the kick panel. If you've already found it at the tail light might as well just run that up to the front since you now whre it is and the couple minutes it'll take to run that to the front of the truck will be a lot less than trying to find it in the pass kick.
  3. Yes it looks stock. As mentioned before the harness and antenna adaptorare chrysler parts. The kit, I'll have to check work tomorrow for the part number but it's a ord double din kit. Actually some of the guys here have probably used it for the newer f150s and such.
  4. Did you use the red wire in that harness? That will cause your problem. Newer chrysler products, like gms, use a dataline to tell the radio when to turn on. What you'll have to do is splice a wire into either the ignition harness or the cig plug that loses power when the key is off to get the avic to turn on and off properly.
  5. The flash from the camera makes it hard for me to see the wire colors. But yeah just count the number of spots in the harness be there a wire in it or not. the harness you're looking for will have 20 pins total. Then look for a yellow wire in that harness.
  6. Easy way to tell is if you have that white ez pass thing on you windsheild then the gps will work inside the car. If you have one of the ic. plate mounted ez passes then the gps ant will have to be outside of the car.
  7. From what I remember, the vdp will not work at all with the avic series units. I don't think they even registtered that it was connected. Don't remember for sure though we tried it back when that processor first ame out.
  8. To make the z1 fit in an 05 You have to cut out some plastic support for the back of the stock radio. As for the kit you can get a metra 99-3301 and just use the side brackets. I've done this several times in Trailblazers up to 05. From what I've seen of the 06 I don't see it bing much different.
