d1/d2 are identical except for the map software that came with it. The d3 is a whole different ball of wax. Ipod support no tilt face, no dedicated map disc slot. Front aux input. No direct tv tuner control.
-
navi input on the 6000 was removed.

The wiring harnesses are different that's all. Everything else will plug right in. The only extra part that would have to be installed is the voice control mic.

Customer fullfill a 528t pulse timer relay. Then wire up as follows.

Not for a few years. Yes any store can cf that peice, well they could when I left.

If you pickup a 95-2003 that'll fix your issure with the gap around the radio.
-
The procedure posted above works for pretty much every nissan from 02 to current.

You can try that, or just get a line driver.

.....the black bus cable into the head unit and the blue end (into the blue socket) on the BTB unit.
That sir right there is backards.

Better off going after market in the saturn. The radio in the gti uses canbus to turn on, a signal which is not available in the saturn. TO my knowledge noone makes an interface to do it either.

1. 95-8202 and 70-1761
2. Pac SWI-PS
3. An Amp kit with the proper gauge power wire
4. There's one right on the front of the D3
5. Yes
6. pioneerelectronics.com

No you'll still need to ground the mute wire after it's moved to the proper spot just like everyone else.

Owners manual? TO the sub outs if it has them. If not then pick one.

How about those front speakers? 5 1/4's up against the glass, where even a skewdriver won't fit? Yay.
Yeah and don't forget about rear speakers in older silverados where the whole bench had to come out.
My favorite rear speakers to this day are still the tempo/topaz rubber banded in place, take 5 seconds to swap out.

Corlando - I think you should keep calling Panasonic until they fix this problem. Sooner or later they will start to care.
It's gonna be a long time before Panasonic cares about a problem with a pioneer product.....

1. That's the way it's programmed.
2.There's a big difference there. If you don't have the nav traffic tuner or the 920, then it ain't gonna do that. Memorize them.
3. Because the cds don't have cd text on them. So yes you have to memorize them.

Year/make/model of the vehicle? And might want to double-check all of the power conections to make sure they're solid.
-
Make sure the disc isn't dirty/scratched.

Wow ain't seen one of those in a while. No magic black box on those things.

The camera rca is supposed to be plugged into the brown "camera" plug. The yellow wire in the avic harness is also constant not accessory.

New idea from the Z forums (slightly modified idea of clark):
Attach a small (maybe 2'') wire to one end of the resistor. Attach the open end of the resistor to the wire from the SWIPS harness. Then attach the "new" wire to the correct location behind the brown harness coming from the Z.
Instead of stripping that wire and soldering in my car, I'm just going to use a wire tap (from Radio Shack) and snap the 2 together.
Does that make sense? Or am I missing something here haha
That works too.
-
You can do that, just make sure to cut a couple inches from the harness so you can reconnct the harness should you get rid of the car.
-
You sure it's on channel 18 and not 184. If it's stuck on 184 then that's normal with a tuner that hasn't been activated yet.

Strange I've never had a problem using a regular stereo 1/8" cable on the front jack of the d3.
AVH-P6800DVD and AVH-P6000DVD, what's the difference?
