  1. we're celebrating our adversary on the 1st of march on non leapyears. Wedding went off without a hitch. Don't remember most of it, it all seems a burr now. The honeymoon was nice. Though it seems like they're repaving about 70% of I95. Plus I got the flu on Monday was stuck in bed all day on Tuesday. At least from Wednesday on we were able to go to Disney and have fun. And now I'm back to work wishing I was still in Disney. I hate you people that live in Florida. So jealous.

  2. so i bought an n4 and had it "professionally" installed by car toys and i have two questions.

    1. with my stock stereo i was able to control the receiver from the steering wheel. the n4 was installed and i currently have no control from the steering wheel. is something not hooked up properly? is there some other part i need? is it even possible to control audio on the n4 from stock steering wheel controls?

gonna need a pac swips and possiblly some other parts depending on the year make model of the vehicle.

    2. by the looks of it, they forgot to connect my illumination wire. or at least i think they did. i used the search function and found a bunch of threads on the subject and that seemed to be the cause of not being able to use the night mode. currently i am unable to use the night mode. my question is in one of the system menu's it allows you to check and see what all is connected. vss, parking brake, etc... so for the illumination portion it says "off" and the manual and what i've read seems to indicate that if it is not hooked up it will say "NOK". so... is it off or is it not connected because i've looked at everything and can't seem to figure out how to change it from "off".

The illumination is not hooked up. Ill will never say NOK. It'll just say off if it's off or not hooked up. Again year make model of vehicle would be helpful.

  3. Looks like a toyota factory addon system. I forget who they're made by, but if I remember correctly the control module has a pigtail with av inputs. However one cavaet, a lot of installers don't bother putting that pigtail in if they're not using it.

  4. ......I didn't place a resistor at all, it sounds good and there's a slight pop when I turn it on....

That's why you put the resistor in. to get rid of that pop. If you can live with the pop then don't bother.

  5. dash kit 99-7416

    harness 70-7551

    Antenna adapter 40-ni10

Speed Sense pink/blue instrument cluster, 20 pin brn plug

DO NOT start the car with the instrument cluster unplugged. Can also find the wire at the ECM located in the front of the center console on the transmission hump.

Reverse Light green/white + driver kick, harness to rear

  6. Nope no big deal. The gmos will plug into the front and rear outputs of the avic. Then plug the rcas for the basslink into the sub out of the avic. you will end up splicing the remote output of the avic (blue/white) to both the gmos and the remote lead you run to the basslink. One more word of advice. Make sure you set the fade/balance to center and the eq to flat. The blose amp remebers those settings even with the stock deck out. And you may lose the ability to fade. Again because of the blose amp it only acccepts 2 channels of input.
