Just got my D3 installed yesterday with the BTB-200 and I'm getting the same error message. I've got a Blackberry 8310. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry. I meant pull the wire from the factory SWC harness. In other words, how can I connect the white (my info wire) from the PAC to the factory SWC harness? Do I need to cut the wires from the harness? or is there a way to get them out. Thanks for the reply. I'm in the middle of the install and I'm trying to finish it up.

How did you guys remove the wire from the factory SWC harness? I'm hesitant to cut that harness and put a splice in it, but I don't see a way to remove the pin. Any help would be appreciated.

Not to beat a dead horse, but can I use the red butt connectors to connect the resister to the appropriate wire? I've done the rest of the install using connectors, but all the connections were for wires in the harness and not an exposed wire like the resister. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for all the great info! The SWC is the last piece of my D3x install.

LOL Did you run into any snags? I can do the head unit no problem, but the BT and SWC have me a bit scared.

CF already called me to see if I had any questions about my order and asked if they could do anything else to help. Needless to say I'm impressed with their customer service so far. The unit should be here Wednesday and I think I'm going to do my install next weekend. Thanks for the replies and all of your input.

Well it's done. $869 later I've got the AVICD3X and the PAC SWI-PS on it's way from Crutchfield. Now I really hope that I can install it on my own. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks again!

I was thinking the same thing about buying from Crutchfield vs E-Bay. *EDIT* I just read the two page post on the GEX-P10HD Has anyone had any experience with the Pioneer GEX-P10HD? CF says that it's an HD tuner that integrates with the D3 to give HD radio without the need for external controls. Everything I've read says that HD requires additional controls. First off I'd like to say thanks for the wealth of information you guys have posted. I am looking at purchasing the AVIC-D3X from Crutchfield for $799 which includes the wiring harness, dash kit and an install guide. I know I can pick up the D3X on e-bay minus the wiring harness, dash kit and guide for about $699. Are the extras the CF offers worth the $100? I've installed head units in my old cars, but I'm a bit leery to start taking apart a car that is less than 6 months old. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. Second question.
